The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 251

Belinda's brother frowned. "What?"

What kind of arrogant bullshit was this?

Within moments, one of Juno's subordinates had already walked out carrying the urn.

Several people inspected it, and one reported, "There's a hidden compartment at the bottom."

Juno slipped her ring onto her finger. "Take it apart."

Belinda's brother was hysterical. "That's enough!!! God is going to punish you for this!!"

Such blatant disrespect for the dead!

Still, no one paid him any mind.

He could scream until he was blue in the face for all they cared.

The bottom of the urn was easily dismantled, revealing a single vial resting quietly inside.

Lucia Corbett asked, "Do we need to get Kian Zimmer over here?"

"No need."

Checking it wouldn't change anything anyway.

This was their only shot.

Juno grabbed the antidote and rushed toward the Yates estate.

The nine assassins released the guards they were holding, shoving them aside like garbage before following Juno.

They didn't need an army of foot soldiers. The nine of them were more than enough.

Once Juno left, the Obsidian Court fell under Lucia's command.

Lucia watched the main act leave and let out a long yawn. "What are you all looking at me for? Put their place back the way it was. Hurry up, I'm tired."

Her arrogance was absolute.

After checking on the elders, Belinda's brother stormed over to Lucia to demand answers.

This insufferable little gremlin!

Before he could even get close, two of her men blocked his path.

Lucia didn't even view him as a threat. "What, you realized you couldn't beat Juno, so you came over here to throw a pathetic tantrum at me?"

"Is Ms. Corbett truly determined to make an enemy of the Russell family?"

Lucia's sleepy face suddenly broke into a smirk. "And what if I am?"

The Obsidian Court didn't give a damn about the Russell family.

Not a single one of them could put up a real fight.

Just a bunch of useless cowards who somehow still had the audacity to confront her.

Whatever. She was going back to sleep.

She didn't even have a strategic reason for it. She just really wanted to see him beaten.

Lorcan: ???

She actually dared to run wild inside the Yates family home?

Juno walked past him and headed up to the second floor, leaving seven of her men waiting outside. She slipped into the bedroom.

Seeing Chuck Yates still deeply asleep, she finally let out a sigh of relief.

She walked over, picked up the syringe she had prepared earlier, and expertly drew every last drop of the antidote. After sterilizing his arm, she administered the injection.

Tossing the syringe into the trash, she sat in the quiet room, waiting for time to pass.

She had no idea how long it would take to kick in.

After thinking for a moment, she stepped out of the room. "Go get Kian Zimmer."

One of her men bowed his head slightly and left to find him.

A short while later, Kian arrived. Juno temporarily stepped out of the room to wait for the prognosis.

Ten minutes later, Kian opened the door. "No major issues. The antidote is real. Resting a bit longer won't hurt him, though I'm not sure exactly when he'll wake up."

He said it all so casually, like it was a joke.

Juno really had to question his professionalism sometimes.

Perhaps her skepticism was too obvious, because Kian shot her a glare. "You can doubt me as a person, but you cannot doubt my medical expertise."
