"Holy shit! Juno Mercer?!"
"What the hell! Jumer is Juno Mercer?!"
"Oh my god, so this is what Jumer looks like! She used to only teach her masterclasses online, so none of her students ever saw her face. To think she had to reveal herself just to prove Rhiannon stole from her!"
It was true. Juno hadn't needed to expose her identity; she could have easily let the public speculate.
But this time, she refused to let Caleb Mercer's hard work be destroyed by a thief.
"Thinking back to all that arrogant trash Kaelen Jagger spouted, his face must be stinging right now!"
"Tsk. Let Kaelen pour all his resources into raising his precious niece. He nurtured a thief! Plagiarism is scum behavior, no matter who does it!"
"We want an apology!"
Normally, the Jagger family could have leveraged their PR machine to bury the scandal, provided they acted before the Corringtons issued a statement. But with the Corringtons striking first, the Jaggers were hopelessly cornered. Their only remaining option was a groveling public apology.
Watching the vicious tidal wave of online hatred pouring in, Rhiannon suffered a complete mental breakdown.
The Jagger family's crisis management team desperately tried to pivot the public's attention.
"Why on earth would anyone install a hidden camera in their own bedroom? It's almost like she set a trap specifically waiting for Rhiannon to copy her."
"Exactly. The psychology of someone who secretly films their own room is genuinely terrifying."
But the moment they tried to drag Jumer's name, her loyal fanbase and the entire design community mobilized with lethal force.
"It's her own damn room! Why do you care if she installs a camera? Do you want her to report to you every time she wipes her ass too?"
"If she hadn't installed that camera, we'd have never found out the prestigious Jagger family hired a literal art thief as their lead designer!"
"Keep aggressively hyping up your fake niece, Kaelen! I just don't get it. Why throw all your money behind someone with zero talent and zero morals?"
The internet remained an absolute warzone, but Juno couldn't have cared less.
The next morning, she went to visit Rhoda Sloane.
Her background check revealed Rhoda was an orphan who had ground her way up to establish her own entertainment company.
Juno rubbed her temples. "Has your life really deteriorated to this level of squalor?"
"No way! I learned all this from those 'Life Hack' videos online!"
The only problem was that executing the hacks turned her house into a literal recycling center.
Juno carefully located a structurally sound place to sit. "Why did you call me over?"
"Ah. Well, I was supposed to be a guest judge on a vocal competition show. But as you can see, I have this horrific flu. Could you please, please sub in for me?"
"Not interested."
"Juno! Please just agree... C'mon, please? ...Hmm?"
Rhoda relentlessly begged and whined for what felt like an eternity.
Finally, utterly exhausted by the nagging, Juno agreed.
Meanwhile, the men from Blackwood City had tracked down Caleb Mercer.
