The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 289

The Talbot family instantly became the hottest topic in town.

They held a press conference to promote their new production line.

Titus and his wife, Melba Ziegler, sat on the stage, beaming at the crowd of reporters below.

They basked in the flashing cameras.

Every photograph captured their elated, triumphant faces.

During the Q&A session, a reporter stood up. "Mr. Talbot, do you have any response to the questions raised by netizens online today?"

Titus feigned ignorance. "What questions might those be?"

The reporter stated flatly, "The Talbot family's new line bears a striking resemblance to Jumer's designs. How do you explain this?"

Titus completely brushed it off. "Anyone is welcome to hire a professional appraiser. It will be obvious at a glance whether or not there's any plagiarism. Consumers have sharp eyes. If they're willing to spend their money, it naturally means they believe our products are excellent. Otherwise, do you think they'd be foolish enough to buy them?"

The reporter pushed back stubbornly. "But the details and design concepts of your new line are identical to Jumer's."

Titus frowned, though he didn't show any real anger. "Who can really say for sure when it comes to these things? I can only tell you that the elements our designers used happened to align with Jumer's.

Does she have a monopoly on those elements? Did she buy the exclusive rights? Just because she used them means no one else can?"

The reporter, effectively shut down, sat back down in embarrassment.

Satisfied, Titus continued promoting his new products.

Watching the live stream, Margie Corrington was so furious she hurled her tablet across the room.

Gordon Corrington, who had just walked in, barely managed to catch it. "Hey, hey, hey! Why are you throwing things again?"

His sister was going to destroy the whole house.

When was she going to kick this bad habit?

Carrying the tablet, he walked over and sat down next to her, asking gently, "What's wrong? Who got you this worked up?"

Margie snapped, "Titus is so utterly shameless! How does he have the nerve to say that? If you ask me, he absolutely plagiarized."

Using Jumer as a gimmick just to turn a profit.

Gordon didn't confirm it completely. "It's just a guess. Right now, the Talbot family is riding high. If anyone inside LK really is plotting something, they'll make their move tomorrow."

Margie nodded.

She needed to head to the office tomorrow.

When Margie arrived at the company, her employees certainly didn't disappoint. The executives from the Planning and Operations departments were submitting mass resignations.

With so many conflicting excuses floating around, she couldn't possibly interview them one by one.

So, she convened an internal meeting.

Everyone sitting in the room had submitted their resignation.

One glance was all it took to see that almost all of them were upper management.

A thick stack of resignation letters sat next to Margie's hand.

She sat in her swivel chair, slowly rocking side to side in complete silence.
