Holden walked up to the group. When his eyes landed on Andrea, she tensed up, almost like she’d forgotten how to breathe. She used to think no guy could ever surprise her again, but this man proved her wrong. However, Holden didn’t spare her a second glance. He went straight to the counter, picked up a necklace, and stopped right in front of Felicia.

“You like this necklace? Let me get it for you.”

Andrea froze at his words. He knew Felicia? Was he into her? Andrea’s hands curled into fists. What did Felicia have, besides a face full of plastic?

Felicia shot Holden a glare and turned to leave. As Holden reached for her arm, Luke, who’d been watching like a hawk, stepped in and smacked his hand away.

“Don’t touch her.”

Holden’s arm stung, but he just stared at Luke with a cold little smile. “Why are you so worked up? I just wanted to give Evelynn a gift.”

“Luke, let’s go,” Felicia said quietly.

They hadn’t even made it to the door before Holden’s bodyguards stepped in, blocking their way. Felicia and Luke stopped short. Luke turned and glared at Holden.

“What are you doing?”

Holden wandered over to the sofa and sat down, spreading his arms across the back. His shirt was half unbuttoned, showing off a solid chest. Every move he made screamed arrogance. The girl with him slid closer, leaning against his side.

“It’s not every day we run into each other. We should at least have a talk.”

Andrea stood off to the side, totally ignored. It was like she was invisible. She stared daggers at Felicia, but she could tell that Holden and Felicia weren’t on good terms. That made her feel just a little bit better.

Holden made a small gesture and a bodyguard reached for Felicia. Luke yanked her behind him. Instantly, the bodyguards and Luke started fighting.

Felicia grabbed for her phone to call the police. Suddenly, a call came in from Max. Before she could hang up, another bodyguard tried to take the phone. Felicia snatched it back and accidentally hit answer. Without noticing, she spun, grabbed a vase from the counter, and smashed it at the bodyguard. He blocked it and grabbed her wrist.

“Let go of me!”

Luke kicked the bodyguard holding Felicia.

At Holden’s signal, someone locked the shop door. Chaos broke out in the store. The manager and staff stood there, not knowing what to do.

Andrea just watched from the sidelines, a cold, satisfied smirk on her lips. Suddenly, she felt someone staring at her. She glanced over and met Holden’s eyes, dark and cold, like a snake watching its prey.
