The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 477

“Looks like Max really isn’t planning to leave Felicia alone,” Anthony said, shaking his head. “He’s so full of himself.”

Jeremy let out a dry laugh. “Yeah, he is. He probably thinks just because Felicia used to like him, he can win her back, no problem.”

Anthony grinned. “Well, he does have the confidence for it, I’ll give him that.”

It was close to three in the afternoon. Mason had just called to say he’d found out another company really had reached out to CoreTech, but he still didn’t know exactly who it was.

Felicia wasn’t about to give up on the merger so easily.

Everyone had been counting on finishing the project before the holiday break and celebrating with a big bonus. But now, with the other side suddenly pulling out, that bonus disappeared in an instant, and the whole team’s mood tanked.

Felicia picked up the phone and called the chairman of CoreTech.

He agreed to meet again tomorrow.

Even though their attitude today was pretty firm, nothing was set in stone yet. Felicia was determined to give it one more shot.

That evening, Felicia and Savannah went to a business dinner. Neither of them expected to bump into Andrea and the CoreTech crew at the restaurant.

Andrea spotted them right away. She said something to her group, then strutted over, looking smug.

She stopped in front of Felicia and Savannah, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Honestly, Evelynn, I thought you’d be more impressive. But I guess not. You can forget about that CoreTech merger.”

Felicia and Savannah put two and two together. They’d never imagined Andrea would be involved in this.

Savannah just snorted. “You’re negotiating business deals with that brain? No wonder the Curtis family is headed for bankruptcy.”

Andrea glared, her hands curling into tight fists. “All you can do is stand here and act tough, Savannah. I have the whole Curtis family behind me, not to mention my brother and Max. I don’t have to work myself to death like you two. But that doesn’t mean I’m not better than you. If I want something, I get it. Don’t compare yourselves to me. You’re not even close.”

She finished speaking, her gaze settling on Felicia, eyes full of challenge.

Savannah’s face turned cold.

Before she could say anything, a sharp slap cut through the air.

“Andrea,” he called.

Andrea looked up at his voice, eyes filling with tears in an instant. “Darin,” she whimpered.

Darin helped her up gently.

Andrea leaned into him, her shoulders shaking with quiet sobs.

Darin turned to Savannah. He’d seen her slap Andrea just a minute ago.

Savannah stared him down. “What do you want?”

Darin’s voice was cool. “Give me one good reason for hitting her.”

Felicia cut in, her words sharp. “Does she really need a reason? The Curtis family never taught her any manners, and neither did you. She acts like a rabid dog, barking everywhere she goes. She had it coming.”
