There would be lingering dark energy.
She wanted to see if the influence behind Leona could handle the curse on Hazel.
The four other guests suddenly understood.
Selina couldn’t help rubbing her arms.
Thinking about Hazel having slept beside an urn for days sent shivers down her spine.
But she still asked, “Even though Hazel kind of deserved this, Mrs. Darrow went too far. What if some other girl got set up like this and forced into a ghost marriage? That would be awful.”
Scarlett replied, “Of course. Mrs. Darrow will face consequences too.”
This was cause and effect.
Karma never lets anyone walk away clean.
Everyone nodded.
Over an hour later, the van reached the city.
The five guests, along with staff, transferred to a flight back to Brookriver.
By the time they landed at the Brookriver airport, it was already dark.
As soon as they stepped off the plane, a swarm of entertainment reporters surrounded them.
“Excuse me, can we get a comment from the guests?”
Though their tone sounded polite, cameras and microphones were already thrust forward.
“Can you tell us what really happened between Zayden and Hazel? Is what he said true? Did Hazel and her mother really steal his luck?
“And the ghost marriage! Scarlett, can you tell us if this will have any effect on Hazel?
“You understand the occult. If Hazel and her mom asked for your help, would you fix this for them?”
Although they were asking about the five guests, every camera and mic was pointed at Scarlett.
Scarlett glanced at them.
“No comment. We’re going to cat. If you’re curious, ask the people involved yourselves.
These reporters thrived on gossip. A little stir in the entertainment world, and they’d hunt down stars or sneak shots.
It was their job, but Scarlett had no intention of indulging them.

“Oh come on, Scarlett, just answer one question!”
They weren’t going to stop until they got something.
Persistence was their specialty.
This one reporter smirked.
In the entertainment industry, you couldn’t afford to anger them.
This was the standard.
Any star in trouble would get hounded by reporters, followed, and photographed.
Scarlett spoke again, calm and measured, “I’ll count to three. You’d better leave.”
Her tone was icy.
She didn’t want to waste more words.
The reporters exchanged glances, clearly unwilling to move.
Even with everything Scarlett had shown on the show, this was an airport, so she couldn’t just attack them.
These reporters were seasoned veterans. If a celebrity so much as dared to lay a hand on someone, they’d happily throw themselves to the ground, cry foul, or escalate the situation–sue the star, make it blow up until the celebrity couldn’t handle it.
After all, stars feared this kind of trouble more than anything.
One slip, one scandal, and if it reached the authorities, it could mean an immediate blacklist.
Therefore, not a single reporter listened to Scarlett’s warning.
Scarlett let out a cold laugh.
‘One.
“Two.
“Three.”
Still, the reporters didn’t budge.
They circled the five guests, thinking Scarlett wouldn’t dare touch them.
Nelson, Adam, and Simon finally stepped forward, trying to push the reporters away.
They were men and were unwilling to let the women take the lead
Before they could act, Scarlett moved.

Scarlett shifted her steps, then reached out and tapped each of the reporters in front of her just a couple of
times.
The dozen or so reporters saw her move and immediately thought she was about to go all out and start hitting people without restraint.
Some even felt a thrill.
Scarlett taking action would make tomorrow’s headlines for sure.
Then they saw her make her move.
But she had only tapped them lightly.
They all froze, confused.
What exactly did she mean?
Did she just attack them?
When Scarlett finished, she turned to the four others and said, “Let’s go.”
After she said that, she reached out, pushed past the reporters blocking her path, and stepped forward.
The reporters she’d “pushed” only wobbled slightly. They didn’t react, didn’t step aside, didn’t try to stop
her at all.
Nelson, Adam, and Simon exchanged baffled glances. What was going on with these reporters?
Just a moment ago, their faces had been set, ready to be stubborn and block them.
And now they didn’t move and didn’t stop anyone.
When the four of them finally cleared the circle, they turned back and saw that the reporters still hadn’t budged.
Not a single person had changed position. Even those holding cameras and microphones were frozen in place, completely motionless. It looked strange.
The four exchanged astonished looks but still fell in step behind Scarlett, ready to leave.
Before she walked away, Scarlett smiled faintly and glanced back at the dozen reporters. “Since you love blocking people,” she said, “then stay right here. Consider this a little lesson. Stand here for an hour.”
