“This explosion is strange,” someone said.

Scarlett walked forward and soon found Maggie and the taxi.

When Maggie saw her come back safely, she was almost in tears with relief.

“Scarlett, are you okay?” Maggie asked quickly. “I heard a huge explosion over there. Even from this far away it sounded terrifying. I was so worried!”

When Maggie heard the two blasts earlier, her heart had nearly stopped. She had been afraid Scarlett might get caught in it.

Scarlett shook her head. “No need. Let’s get in the car and go to the airport. I want to go home early.”

Going to the hospital would not help anyway.

Maggie hesitated for a moment, but she finally listened. She helped Scarlett into the taxi.

The driver also got into the car, still muttering to himself. “That was such a big explosion. I wonder if anyone got hurt. I hope nobody was caught in it. Those firefighters looked so young…”

He started the car but was still curious.
