Chapter 302 Not an Ordinary Illness
Although their town fell under the town’s jurisdiction, it was very close to the town itself–just a ten- minute drive to reach the hospital there.
The town was fairly bustling, and it even had a top–tier hospital.
Tad said, “What’s there to worry about? Traditional doctors are amazing. It’s not just herbal medicine- they also do needle therapy. Sometimes when your mom’s legs ache, she goes to Hendrix for a treatment, and it eases right up.”
Still, Hendrix had told him before that his needle therapy skills weren’t particularly advanced.
But for common minor ailments, it usually worked just fine.
Tad said, “Let’s head over to Hendrix’s place first. I think his daughter, Scarlett, came back from the city today…”
Beside him, Shirley suddenly spoke up. “Dad, the Scarlett you’re talking about—is it Scarlett Sanchez?”
Tad froze for a moment, puzzled how Shirley even knew who Scarlett was.
Scarlett had been living in the city these past few years with Matthew.
Shirley shouldn’t know her.
But then, he remembered Scarlett was indeed in the entertainment industry–so it wasn’t strange that Shirley might recognize her.
Tad said, “Yeah, yeah, it’s Scarlett Sanchez–the one in the entertainment business.”
Shirley immediately said, “Then let’s go to Hendrix’s house. Right now.”
Just as they were talking, Bunny started vomiting again, and this time, even the color looked wrong

The three of them panicked and rushed over to the Sanchez Residence with the baby in their arms
When they arrived, they didn’t expect chaos outside the Sanchez Residence as well.
An old woman was sprawled on the ground, wailing and rolling around in a tantrum.
Tad didn’t have time to mediate. He quickly explained Bunny’s sudden illness and symptoms to the at the doorway.
“Hendrix, please take a look at Bunny. What’s wrong with her?”
He was terrified, his legs still trembling.
After speaking. Tad gestured for Shirley to step forward so Hendrix could examine the baby
But to his surprise, Shirley carried Bunny straight to Scarlett instead

Through tears, she said to Scarlett, “Scarlett, please help me see what’s wrong with my daughter.”
Tad jumped in alarm and said to Shirley, “Shirley, you’ve got it wrong. Bring her here for Hendrix to see. Why are you asking Scarlett?”
Hendrix quickly said, “Tad, don’t worry. Scarlett knows medicine too. She’s been learning from her grandfather since she was little–her skills are even better than mine.”
Tad froze.
He had no idea Scarlett actually knew medicine.
Scarlett also said, “Let me take a look first.”
Shirley hurriedly passed the baby in her arms over to her.
Right now, she couldn’t exactly tell Scarlett that she was actually a fan of hers.
She often watched Scarlett diagnose patients during her livestreams.
So when Tad mentioned Scarlett was home, she suddenly realized that Scarlett and Tad came from the
same town.
That was when she decided to bring Bunny to Scarlett immediately.
She believed Scarlett would definitely be able to cure her daughter.
Besides, she also thought the baby might just be reacting to the new environment–maybe the fever and vomiting came from that adjustment.
Scarlett looked at the baby.
But her brows slowly furrowed.
Scarlett examined the baby she was holding once more.
The little one’s face was flushed red, clearly from the burning fever.
There was also redness beneath the eyes–signs of food stagnation.
It showed the baby’s stomach wasn’t digesting properly.
The milk she’d drunk hadn’t been digested, which was why it had come back up
All of those symptoms were triggered by the sudden high fever.
But it was obvious the baby wasn’t suffering from an ordinary illness, nor was it caused by environmental changes or some virus she’d picked up somewhere.
Shirley was still talking. “Scarlett, could it be because she’s not used to the new environment?
She loved her daughter dearly, which was why she’d stayed home for three months after delivering before bringing the baby back here.

She had already been extremely careful, yet she hadn’t expected her daughter to fall sick after returning.
She had never blamed her in–laws. Instead, she felt guilty toward them–after finally bringing the baby home to visit, the child ended up getting sick, and her in–laws were surely blaming themselves.
Scarlett didn’t reply. She simply lifted her gaze and looked at the baby’s parents and grandfather.
Just as she expected…
“Scarlett…” Shirley couldn’t hold back anymore and asked, “I–is Bunny not suffering from an ordinary illness?”
Because she often watched Scarlett’s livestreams.
Whenever someone connected with Scarlett and had an illness, Scarlett would normally say it directly.
She wouldn’t stay silent like this.
Unless it was a serious illness or some other special circumstance, only then would Scarlett take longer to observe,
And just now, Scarlett had carefully looked over their entire family as well.
So Bunny isn’t sick? Is something else causing it?
Or has Bunny developed some serious disease?
In that instant, Shirley’s whole body turned cold, as if she’d plunged into an ice pit.
Seeing this, Scarlett quickly said, “Don’t worry. Your daughter isn’t in any real danger. I’ll massage a few pressure points for her in a moment, and she’ll be fine. It’s food stagnation causing indigestion. Since she’s so small, the reaction looks more severe–low energy, fever, and vomiting–but none of it is serious.
Shirley, Tad, and Dudley finally let out a breath of relief.
Tad was filled with guilt.
He said, “This is all my fault. Shirley, Dudley, don’t bring Bunny back here again. If your mother and I have time, we’ll go visit you in the city instead. You came back once, and the poor baby ended up sick because of it.”
