Chapter 305 Source of the Dark Energy
The Macks were, by nature, a family that had accumulated good karma.
Just from their faces alone, one could tell they were blessed–wealthy, healthy, and living smooth, fortunate lives.
With solid good karma like that, no wonder their kids have good fortune.
That was why Scarlett needed to visit the Mack Residence herself to understand what was causing this darl
energy.
The most likely explanation was that they had picked something up somewhere and brought it home.
Otherwise, there was no reason the entire family would be affected.
Tad thought about it again and again before stammering, “W–we might have picked up a few things. Sometimes, when we see scrap outside, like cardboard boxes people throw away, or bits of scrap metal. copper, aluminum–things that can be sold for money–we’ll bring them home.”
Even though their family was well–off, Tad and Priscilla were extremely frugal people. They often saved up recyclable materials to sell as scrap, and sometimes, if they saw discarded items outside, they’d bring them home to add to the pile.
Dudley glanced at Tad but didn’t say anything to blame him.
He had always known his father lived frugally.
And Tad had taught him many things–lessons about how to live and how to be a good person.
Scarlett said, “Scrap usually wouldn’t carry any evil energy. I’ll take a look at your house first. There’s no need to rush.”
In most situations like this, she could handle it.
Tad quickly nodded in agreement,
But along the way, he still looked troubled.
The guilt and regret on his face wouldn’t fade.
He couldn’t stop wondering if picking up scrap had accidentally brought something evil back into the
house.
Before long, the group arrived in front of the Mack Residence.
Behind them trailed a long line of townsfolk.
Everyone wanted to see what was going on.
Although the Macks had built a villa, it wasn’t the luxurious kind.

Chapter 305 Source of the Dark Energy
It was just a simple, ordinary villa with a large courtyard in the center.
The property covered quite a bit of land.
After all, the three brothers‘ homestead plots were all here.

For generations, the Macks had lived on this land, and the old ancestral home had once been even larger.
When they reached the villa entrance, Shirley hesitated to go in.
She was afraid that if they entered, the dark energy inside might cling to the baby again.
Scarlett noticed Shirley’s concern.
She raised her hand and murmured a few words, then bit the tip of her middle finger and pressed a drop of blood onto the center of the baby’s forehead.
“There. Don’t worry anymore. The dark energy won’t cling to Bunny again.”
Hearing that, Shirley finally relaxed. She looked down at her daughter, already fast asleep in her arms, and her fear eased a little.
She believed that with Scarlett there, no matter what evil energy existed in the house, Scarlett would definitely be able to deal with it.
After placing the protective mark on the baby, Scarlett turned her gaze toward the villa in front of her.
From the outside, nothing seemed unusual.
Tad stepped forward and pushed open the door.
Immediately, Scarlett could sense the faint presence of dark energy inside the villa.
She frowned instinctively.
Something didn’t feel right.
Because inside the villa, the dark energy was spread too evenly.
Even without stepping fully inside, she could already sense the intensity of the dark energy throughour the house–and there was no single source.
In other words, there was no evil object inside the villa.
If there were, there would be a concentrated point where the dark energy was much stronger
But right now, there was no such place. All the dark energy inside the villa was faint and evenly dispersed, very light, as if it had naturally formed within the environment itself.
“Scarlett, is there something wrong in the house? Tad couldn’t help asking.
Scarlett said, “Let me go inside and take a look.”

“Yes, yes–go ahead and check.”
Scarlett stepped into the villa.
The courtyard was large, with a relaxation area, a flower garden, and a vegetable patch.
Everything was clean, orderly, and bright.
The geomancy of the residence itself showed no problems at all.
The townsfolk behind them followed into the courtyard as well.

Priscilla also came out. Her legs had been aching these past few days, and the medicinal plaster Hendrix had prepared earlier didn’t seem to be working very well anymore.
Even after applying it, there was still a dull, lingering pain.
seeing so many people gathered there, Priscilla couldn’t help asking, “Tad, what’s going on? Why did
veryone come over? Is the baby alright?”
As she spoke, she walked toward Shirley and saw her granddaughter sleeping peacefully in Shirley’s arms. The baby’s cheeks were no longer burning red, only carrying a normal, healthy flush.
Shirley quietly explained to her mother–in–law, “Scarlett came with us. She said Bunny’s illness wasn’t caused by the environment or a virus. It was because of dark energy. She said we all have some on us, and he asked if you and Dad had been having a run of bad luck lately. That’s because of the dark energy too, o she came over to find the source and resolve it.”
‘riscilla looked both shocked and shaken. She had already felt something was wrong these past few days.
How could anyone be that unlucky?
t felt like the universe was out to get them.
But she was surprised. Scarlett knows this kind of thing too?
Scarlett glanced at her and said, “Don’t worry. The pain in your legs these past few days is also caused by he dark energy in the house. Once it’s dispersed, it’ll be fine.”
After saying that, she had already begun walking deeper into the villa.
From the first floor to the second and third floors, she checked every room.
She searched every corner carefully.
And just as she suspected, there were no evil objects inside the villa. The dark energy in every area was evenly spread and relatively faint–nothing serious. Otherwise, it wouldn’t simply be Tad and Priscilla having minor bad luck or the baby getting a mild illness.
