Hearing Scarlett’s words now, it sounded like this wasn’t just bad luck–it meant something had wrong with the family tomb.

We need to go take a look.” She then turned to Tad. “Tad, can we go check your family tomb now, or would you rather wait until tomorrow?”

It was only a little after 5 p.m., and it wasn’t dark yet.

‘Now. Right now!” Tad didn’t dare wait another minute.

His family had already started running into bad luck.

If they didn’t find the problem soon, nobody would know what had happened to the spirit residence.

They needed to check it as soon as possible.

Scarlett nodded. “Alright. Let’s head to the Macks‘ tomb now.”

Over the phone, Darren said, “Scarlett, thank you for the trouble. When this is over, I’ll come personally to hank you. Whatever happens later, have Tad give me a call.”

‘Alright.”

After hanging up, Tad hurried home to grab a powerful flashlight. He was worried that once they reached the mountain, it might already be dark, making it hard to see.

The surrounding townsfolk hadn’t expected things to escalate into a trip to the family tomb.

‘Why are we heading to the Macks‘ tomb now?”

‘Scarlett said it doesn’t seem like anything in the house caused it. Since the Macks have been unlucky, it probably means the family’s fortune itself is being affected. Basically, the family tomb could be influencing their luck.”

“Yeah, yeah, I’ve heard that too. If something goes wrong with the family tomb, the whole family suffers.”

And just like that, a whole group of townsfolk followed behind Scarlett and Tad toward the Macks‘ tomb.

This time, Shirley and Bunny naturally didn’t go. Shirley stayed home with Priscilla to take care of the

child.

Tad, Dudley, and Scarlett headed up the mountain together.

Scarlett also asked Shirley to make a quick trip to the Sanchez Residence to tell Hendrix and Rory she might be back late and that they shouldn’t wait for her for dinner.

The group began walking toward the back mountain.

The Macks‘ tomb was still quite a distance away.

After about 20 minutes of walking, they finally arrived.

By the time they reached the site, the sky had already begun to darken.

But many of them had brought flashlights, so visibility remained good, and it didn’t cause any problems.

At the Macks‘ tomb, not only were the parents of the three Mack brothers buried there, but several earlier generations of their ancestors rested there as well.

There were several graves.

All of them were clean, the weeds around them trimmed neatly, and flowers were placed on top.

mother.”

His father had passed away first, and after his mother died later, she had been buried together with him

Scarlett pointed to a specific spot. “There’s something buried here. Give me a shovel–we need to dig it out first and see what it is.”

Dudley immediately lifted the shovel he had brought “Tll dig.

Scarlett shook her head. “I’ll do it. It’s better if none of you touch this thing. It’s far too evil.

Only then did Dudley hand the shovel over to Scarlett.

Scarlett began to dig at the marked spot.

After digging down about 1.5 feet, the shovel struck something solid.

Scarlett pulled the iron box out of the ground.

“And who buried it? What were they trying to do?”
