Chapter 69 Awful Luck

Scarlett continued, @H_Hazel, you too. Stop pretending we’re close. From today on, I have nothing to do with the Baileys. And I have nothing to do with you. If you keep playing sweet and innocent online, mocking me and stirring trouble, don’t blame me if I show up at your company and slap you.”

She didn’t care. Her crystal bead was already bound to her consciousness. No one could take it from her.

Her mother had been sent back to their hometown.

There was nothing left to worry about.

As for revenge, she would still take it.

She would keep digging into Hazel and Leona. And the one standing behind them.

Hazel once said she only received one drop of spiritual essence a day, and even that had to be split in half.

Split with whom? Or with what?

The thing behind themwas it even human?

The cameras stayed locked on Scarlett.

Everyone watched as she went wild on Instagram, calling out both Gemma and Hazel in public.

[Good. Yep. Still the same psycho. Nothing changed.]

[How dare she do this? Just because Mrs. Crawford didn’t go after her today, she thinks she can keep attacking Gemma online? Gemma is an heiress from old money. Well connected in the business and politics scene. The Quinns and the Crawfords adore that heiress. Scarlett is going to be blacklisted for sure.]

StrawberryBear jumped in, [I trust Scarlett. Let’s wait a few days and we’ll see.]

Some of Scarlett’s loyal fans stood firmly by her.

After finishing calling out those two, Scarlett put her phone away and looked up at the crew. Alright, let’s head back.”

Her electric scooter was still parked near the small neighborhood park.

She needed to pack up first, then ride back to the factory.

It wasn’t far, about a tenminute walk.

But no one expected that those ten minutes would nearly scare the life out of everyoneagain and again

The crew followed behind her, filming.

Suddenly, a flowerpot fell straight down from above.

The crew and viewers gasped.

It dropped too fast.

There was no time to warn her.

Before anyone could scream, Scarlett shifted slightly to the side.

The pot smashed into the ground behind her.

Everyone let out a breath.

Just an accident, they thought.

Finish

A few hundred feet later, they passed a fastfood place. A large pot of boiling corn chowder had just been set on a table outside. The table leg snapped.

The pot tipped over, the scalding soup pouring straight toward Scarlett.

She moved so fast the cameras barely caught it.

In the blink of an eye, she was several yards away.

Not a single drop touched her.

The shop owner was pale with fear and rushed to apologize.

Scarlett waved it off. It’s fine.

Now, both the crew and the livestream audience were starting to feel that something was very wrong.

A few hundred feet later, a tire came flying from the distance.

Fast. Straight at Scarlett.

She sighed and picked up a wooden stick nearby.

And swung. The impact knocked the force out of the tire.

It slammed to the ground with a loud thud, stopping before it could hit anyone else.

At this point, everyone understood. This wasn’t just not right. This was insane.

In just ten minutes, Scarlett nearly died three times.

Any normal person wouldn’t have survived even one.

The first flowerpot alone would have put them flat on the ground.

[What is happening?! This is terrifying. Three times in ten minutes? All of them could’ve killed her!l

[LOL this is karma for spreading rumors. Let’s see if she dares to spread lies and fake her image again.)

[I don’t think so. If those who spread rumors had karma like that, half the internet would be dead.]

Scarlett, meanwhile, looked helpless.

Thankfully, they reached the small park.

She needed to donate the ten million dollars as soon as possible to balance her bad luck.

Scarlett got on her scooter.

A crew member asked nervously from behind, Scarlett, are you okay? Do you need a break?

They were honestly worried. What if even the scooter ride turned dangerous?

Scarlett turned back and smiled. I’m fine. But we need to get back fast. I probably can’t keep filming for the next three days. I need to lie low at the factory.

Pfft! She suddenly coughed and spat out a mouthful of blood.

The crew’s hands shook in fear.

The camera wobbled.

AhhhScarlett, don’t scare us like that! One crew almost cried.

Let’s go to the hospital! You’re coughing up blood!

Scarlett looked back at them and spoke darkly, It’s really nothing. The hospital won’t help. Just get me back so I can lie down for three days. Otherwise, I might end up lying here instead. And then you’ll get dragged into it too. Flowerpots. Boiling soup. Flying tires. Maybe even a car accident.

The crew was horrified. No one argued.

They followed her at once, rushing back to the factory.

Even the way back was dangerous.

No more falling objects, but as Scarlett crossed a green light downhill, a large truck came speeding through. It couldn’t stop at the red light and charged straight toward her.
