Chapter 88 Miss, You Have Ten Minutes
Sophia let out a soft sigh. “Norman, please calm down. There’s no need to be angry.”
After that, she turned back to Scarlett. “Scarlett, this is Professor Cox from the Creuton University.”
Scarlett nodded.
She knew who Norman Cox was.

Norman was a senior professor in architecture at the Creuton University. He had taken part in many major national construction projects and made great contributions over the years.
He was already in his seventies. In a few more years, he might even be elected to be the academician of the Institute of Engineering.
Scarlett greeted him politely. “Hello, Professor Cox.”
Given how well–mannered she was, Norman didn’t press the matter. It didn’t feel right to be harsh with a young girl. Still, he was clearly upset.
That anger finally turned into a long sigh.
“Miss,” he said, “don’t do this kind of trick again next time. You’re still young, so I’ll let it go this time. Well, a wasted trip is still a wasted trip.”
In truth, they already knew the answer before coming.
This bell tower could not be restored.
They knew it too well.
For decades, no one had been able to fix it.
Using modern wooden construction methods would only make it look strange and out of place, completely different from the structure below.
They had tried every known traditional wood technique, and all had failed.
This was, by all accounts, an almost impossible project.
After speaking, Norman turned to the young man behind him. “Grayson, let’s go. Book an afternoon flight, We’ll head back to Jyncrest this afternoon.”
Grayson nodded and took out his phone to book the tickets.
The other elderly experts also began to prepare to leave.
Sophia sighed deeply. “Norman, why don’t you wait a little longer? Give Scarlett a chance.”
Back then, the reason she had convinced Norman to help apply for restoration materials and tools was because she had shown him an angel sculpture Scarlett had carved.

Norman had been deeply impressed by that sculpture.
What Sophia hadn’t told him was that the angel sculpture had been carved by Scarlett herself.
Scarlett was too young.
Sophia worried Norman wouldn’t believe it. If he doubted her, the approval for the materials and tools would never come through.
So she had hidden Scarlett’s identity from him.
Norman looked at Scarlett again.
Scarlett smiled faintly. “Professor Cox, give me ten minutes. If you still want to leave after that, I won’t stop you.”
Just ten minutes. That was all she needed to change how these experts saw her.
No one spoke. Everyone simply watched Scarlett.
So far, no one believed she could possibly restore this bell tower.
Norman said nothing either.
But Grayson, standing beside him, frowned and spoke sharply. “Scarlett, don’t go too far. If you want to build a good image, do it in the entertainment world. Don’t drag our academic field into this.
“Do you even know what you’re doing? This is fraud. It’s illegal. If you ruin what little remains of this bell tower, you’ll be remembered as a sinner.”
Scarlett’s expression turned cold. “You’re like a frog at the bottom of a well,” she said calmly. “Judging others based on what you’ve heard, following the crowd without thinking for yourself.”
Grayson Mitchell’s face went pale with anger.
She was calling him narrow–minded. Saying that just because he couldn’t do something, he assumed no one else could. Saying he had no independent judgment and only repeated what others said.
Grayson wanted to argue with her.
Norman frowned. “Grayson. That’s enough.”
“Yes, Professor Cox,” Grayson replied, not daring to say more.
Norman turned back to Scarlett. “Fine. I’ll give you ten minutes. Go ahead, young lady.”
He wanted to see what a girl like her could really do in ten minutes.
He doubted she even had the strength to move a few pieces of wood.
Sophia wanted to say something more, but Wade tugged lightly at her sleeve and shook his head.

It was no use talking now. If Scarlett didn’t show real skill, no one would believe an eighteen–year–old celebrity.
If Wade didn’t know Sophia personally, even he wouldn’t have believed it either.
Scarlett said nothing more. She walked to the side and picked up a piece of wood that had already been
