Nathalie ended the call and immediately found Nicol, telling him to look for her grandmother.
After listening, Nicol’s face went pale. “This is crazy. Who would do something like that?”
Nathalie tried to steady her breath. “Please, just hurry. Nothing can happen to my grandmother.”
“Don’t worry, Ms. Blair. Some of our guys are already in Cabinda. I’ll get in touch with them now,” Nicol said, trying to reassure her as he pulled out his phone and quickly started making calls.
Standing alone in the empty hospital room, Nathalie felt like she’d fallen into a bottomless pit, a chill settling deep in her bones.
She just couldn’t believe Camilla would stoop this low. All for a woman she adopted? For her adoptive parents and even their family, she would actually take things this far?
Did Camilla really feel nothing for her own grandmother? Maybe they’d drifted apart over the years, but what about the childhood filled with memories? Did none of that matter now?
Nathalie wanted to deny it was possible, but it was all playing out in front of her.
She slipped into the bathroom, splashed cold water on her face, and tried not to lose it.
Right then, a message from Camilla pinged onto her phone. She wanted Nathalie to bring the asset transfer papers to The Blair Estate.
Nathalie left the hospital without another word and headed straight for the Blair home.

Camilla was waiting in the living room. When she saw Nathalie storm in, her face tightened and she stood up instinctively. “Nathalie, what are you doing?”
Nathalie stared her down. “No, Camilla, what are you doing?”
Camilla shot her a glare. “I told you everything on the phone. Did you bring the documents?”
Nathalie’s tone was ice cold. “You’re out of your mind. Tell me where my grandmother is, right now, or you have no idea what I’m willing to do.”
The anger radiating from her was off the charts. She looked like she might rip Camilla apart right then and there.
Camilla, though, didn’t seem scared at all. She just sat back down, acting calm. “Nathalie, this is for your own good. You and Lance aren’t divorced yet. What if he tricks you out of the family assets? I know how much you care about him. When the divorce is done, I’ll give everything back to you.”
