“How were you contacted? Where and how was the transaction made?” Aaron asked from the side.
Than held nothing back, spilling out every detail.
quickly arranged for his men to investigate Tammie, and the man eleased.
nce’s gaze fell on the other man, who had remained silent the entire
Why have you been so quiet?”
The silent man lifted his head and looked at him. “Lance, it was you who told us to do this. I just don’t understand why you’d turn on us in the end.”
As soon as he finished speaking, everyone in the factory was stunned.
Aaron kicked him hard in the torso, shouting, “What nonsense are you spouting?! Lance doesn’t even know you, and he would never do something like this. Don’t you dare make false accusations!”
The man grunted in pain from the kick, his face contorting. He struggled to catch his breath, then looked at Nathalie. “Nathalie, it was Lance who told us to do this. He even told us to put on a show for you, just to clear his own name.”

Lance’s expression didn’t change.

Nathalie shook her head. “That’s not a good enough reason. Even if it wa an act, he would have hired the best doctors to treat you and given you a substantial sum of money as compensation. That money would have been enough for you to live comfortably for the rest of your life.”
She scoffed. “Do I look that easy to fool?”
The man was dumbfounded.
Nathalie turned to Aaron. “Since he’s so precious about his legs, go ahea and break them all. And don’t forget the third one.”
Whatever this man’s goal was–to deceive her, to mislead her–it was an
attack on her.
If he had just been smart like his partner and told the truth from the beginning, this wouldn’t be happening to him.
But it was clear someone had given him separate instructions to make the relationship between her and Lance even worse.
The thing was, her relationship with Lance was already as cold and hostile as it could possibly be. It had reached its limit.
So, she had calmly analyzed the holes in his story instead of blindly believing him.
Aaron’s expression froze. He never would have expected Nathalie to be so ruthless.
Break the third leg, too…
