Nathalie stood at the kitchen door, silent for a moment before turning back to the living room to watch TV.
At ten o’clock at night, steaming vegetable noodles were brought to th dining table.
The two ate very quietly.
The atmosphere in the huge dining room was very cold. They sat on th ɔwn sides, as if there was a clear dividing line in the middle that neithe would cross.
Their former marital home used to be lively and warm, even intimately passionate.
But now, there was not a trace of the past to be found.
Nathalie finished her noodles and looked at him. “Do you need to chang he dressing on your wound?”
No need.”
Lance put his bowl and fork into the dishwasher and walked straight
pstairs.
Nathalie was happy to have some peace. She returned to her room and called the housekeeper, Karan, to ask about her grandmother’s condition
oday.
Karan stepped out of the room, stood in the hallway, covered her phone with her hand, and whispered, “The old lady is eating and sleeping normally, but she keeps staring blankly at a photo. I didn’t dare look to see what photo it was.”
Hearing this, Nathalie’s expression paused slightly. It was probably a photo with Camilla, right?
Now, the only thing that could affect her grandmother was the matter
regarding Camilla.
Nathalie felt a bit worried. If this continued, her grandmother would definitely have a breakdown..

Karan replied, “Okay.”
