The Unwavering Heart That Broke (Nathalie and Lance) novel Chapter 718

Chapter 718

Chapter 718

When Elara had first heard the rumors, her mind was completely blown.

Lance hooking up with his sister-in-law, neglecting his actual wife for his

brother’s widow?/

No wonder Nathalie was heartbroken enough to demand a divorce.

The man was despicable!

Lance’s face darkened, his voice laced with a lethal chill. “Do not judge a situation when you don’t know the full story. Dr. Lane, just do the job I paid you to do.”

Elara sneered. “Do you think I care about your filthy money?”

Nathalie quickly grabbed her arm before a full-blown war could break out. Shaking her head at Elara, she tapped away on her phone. The robotic voice spoke up, “Let’s begin.”

Elara took a few deep breaths to rein in her temper. “Nathalie, you have the patience of a saint. If it were me, I would have slaughtered those two cheaters myself!”

She leaned in closer, whispering conspiratorially, “If doing it in the country is too risky, I’d ship them abroad, kill them, and bury them out there so they never come back to annoy me.”

Nathalie smiled warmly, deeply touched by Elara’s fierce protectiveness and genuine outrage on her behalf.

But she didn’t want to dwell on the past anymore.

She laid down on the sofa and closed her eyes.

Elara turned to Lance. “What are you standing around for? Get on the bed!”

Chapter 718

Lance remained silent..

He radiated a freezing, murderous aura that seemed to plunge the temperature in the room by ten degrees.

Elara inexplicably shivered at the sudden chill, glancing suspiciously at

the AC vent.

It was the dead of winter-there was no way the air conditioning was on.

So where the hell was this cold draft coming from?

Shaking it off, she washed her hands, sterilized the acupuncture points, and began precisely inserting the needles.

Checking their pulses, she noted a slight decrease in the toxin levels. She mentally adjusted their prescriptions and dosages, determined to cure them as fast as humanly possible.

The bedroom settled into an absolute quiet.

A short while later, a soft knock echoed against the door.

“Who is it?”

Elara asked as she walked over and pulled the door open, finding Grandma standing there with a warm, wrinkled smile.

“Good evening, Dr. Lane.”

Elara quickly stepped forward to support her. “Good evening, Grandma. Are you here to check on Nathalie?”

“Yes, I just wanted to see how they’re doing,” Grandma nodded, shuffling into the bedroorn and taking in the sight of the two receiving their

treatments.

Nathalie opened her clear, expressive eyes, blinking softly as her lips

curved into a beautiful smile.

Grandma checked on Lance first. “Lance, how are you feeling?”
