Chapter 184 Julia’s Real Backer
The club was dimly lit. The air felt heavy and secretive.

Priscilla walked confidently down the hallway. She knew this place well. She stopped in front of the largest private suite and pushed the door open.
Inside sat a man in his fifties. He wore a sharp suit. His eyes were deep and calculating. He carried himself with quiet power.
Priscilla had dressed carefully today. She wore a custom–made gown that showed off her figure. The fabric hugged her curves. She swayed her hips as she walked over and lit a cigarette for him.
“Wilmot.”
“Age had caught up with you,” he said with a grin, pulling her into his arms, “but you’re still a minx.”
He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close. The room soon filled with moans.
After a long time, everything grew quiet again.
Priscilla fixed her clothes and leaned against him.
“I came to see you because I need your help. Our daughter was picked on, and she cried all night. Can you step in and help her?”
Wilmot tapped the ash from his cigarette. His eyes narrowed.
‘Someone has the nerve to bully my daughter? They must be tired of living. I’ll have someone grab that brat and sell her far away. She won’t be coming back.”
Priscilla was overjoyed. She leaned in and kissed him.
‘You’re the best, Julia will be so happy when she hears this.”
Wilmot smiled proudly.
“Of course, you and Julia are precious to me. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
Priscilla traced a finger across his chest.
“Then why did you make me stay with Morris all these years? I’m tired of that useless man. I want to stay by your side.”
Wilmot’s expression darkened.
“Back then, my enemies were after me. Morris couldn’t have children. He was the perfect cover. Give me a little more time. Once I fully secure my place at home, you two can openly return to my
side.”
Wilmot Bennett grabbed her chin and kissed her hard on the lips. The sound was loud and crude.
“You’re so annoying,” Priscilla said with a playful pout. “Do you really think we can return to Eldercrown

and be accepted by your family?”
She had always dreamed of living a wealthy life.
The Bennetts were one of the most powerful families in Eldercrown.
People like her could never reach that level on their own.
That was the main reason she chose Wilmot back then.
Happiness felt so close now.
Soon, she wouldn’t have to pretend with Morris anymore.

Thinking of her daughter, she added, “There’s one more thing. Julia was expelled from Marcrest High. Can you find a way to get her back in? The SAT is coming soon. We can’t let this affect her mood.”
Wilmot’s hands began to wander again.
“As long as you make me happy today, everything can be arranged.”
Before long, the room filled with intimate sounds once more.
At noon, Larissa was eating in the cafeteria when she saw Julia again.
