29 Why Should I Apologize?
Morris had already figured out what he was going to do on the way over.

The solution was simple. He didn’t care who was right or wrong–if he just made Larissa take the fall, everything would be fine.
That was how he’d always handled things.
After all, Larissa was just an orphan with nothing going for her. If anyone had to be sacrificed, it might as
well be her.
As long as she admitted her fault, he’d let her come back to the Turners.
If she kept holding out, leaving her out there would just make him look bad.
And now, even though Turner Group’s stock had gone up a bit of the headline news, everyone was treating them like a joke.
And it was all Larissa’s doing.
Better to bring her back and keep an eye on her, so she wouldn’t cause any more trouble.
Even now, he still believed Larissa did everything just to get back to the Turners–to get his attention.
He really thought one word from him was all it took for Larissa to come home.
So when he arrived at the principal’s office, the first thing he did was check on Julia and Harlan, and then immediately turned on Larissa, not holding back at all.
“Larissa, how long do you plan to keep this up?
“You’ve embarrassed me and the Turners completely.
“Apologize to Harlan and Julia right now, and I’ll let you come back to the Turners.”
Larissa just sat there. She didn’t even bother to stand up, just looked at Morris with cold, clear contempt.
“Why should I apologize?
“Mr. Turner, you and I have nothing to do with each other.
“Your son and daughter are right there.
“My own family will be here to pick me up soon.”
“Dad, you see? She’s ungrateful. The Turners raised her, and this is how she pays you back.”
Harlan couldn’t hide his anger.
That finally got Larissa to stand. She spoke, her voice still icy.

Chapter 29 Why Should I Apologize?
“Ungrateful?
Finished
“In case you forgot, I already gave you a bank card–with a million dollars on it. That was to end things for good.
“Mr. Turner, you took me in when I was five. When I was twelve, you sent me off to Ravenmind Island.
“I only came back to the Turners six months ago.
“For seven and a half years, sure, I lived in your house, but I paid for everything myself. Food, clothes, pocket money–you name it.
“The Turners probably spent half a million on me, tops. That other half a million was just to say thanks for not letting me die under your roof.”
For the first time, Morris was at a loss for words.
He started to wonder–had he really treated her so badly all this time?
But looking at her now, with that attitude, he got nervous. What if she was right?
There were four Turner kids. Julia, Jettson, Harlan–each of them got at least a million dollars a month for allowance.
But Larissa?
He honestly couldn’t remember ever giving her money.
And if she was telling the truth, she did give him that card when she left.
Had he really treated her that poorly all these years?
He gave her a long, conflicted look.
“And you actually think a million is something to brag about? You lived on the Turners‘ money all this time.
“A million–that’s nothing but hush money for a beggar.
“Ungrateful is exactly what you are.
“That’s just what I get for allowance every month.”
Harlan said, not bothering to hide the sarcasm.
Larissa gave him a cold look and answered evenly.
“Of course you don’t think it’s a lot. You and Julia were always given the best treatment in the Turners. “But for me? A million dollars? If you’d think it was too much, you should’ve given me ten thousand.” “What are you talking about? Have you really forgotten all the good the Turners did for you?
