The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 148

But she remained entirely unfazed, not showing the slightest intention of asking for his help.

His knuckles turned white, but eventually, he slowly relaxed his hands.

Jenna shot Chloe a smug, triumphant glare, eagerly waiting to watch her get dragged out like trash.

A second later, two massive security guards walked straight past Chloe and stopped right in front of Jenna.

"Miss, please leave the premises immediately."

Jenna froze. She frantically pointed at Chloe. "What are you doing? I told you to throw them out! Not me!"

Chairman Shaw smiled calmly.

"I'm afraid they haven't made a mistake, Miss Cameron."

"Because..."

He paused, placing a gentle hand on Quentin's shoulder. His voice carried clearly across the silent room. "Quentin is my son. He is the heir to the Shaw family. A man doesn't need an invitation to enter his own home."

"And Ms. Reed is Quentin's dear friend. As his guest, she certainly doesn't need an invitation either."

The crowd erupted into absolute chaos. Jenna's eyes bulged as if she had been struck by lightning. It took her several seconds to process the words.

"What?!"

"He... I thought he was just an interpreter! How is he your son?"

Chairman Shaw looked at her. His tone was perfectly polite, yet completely merciless.

"Miss Cameron, you are causing a scene. To ensure our guests enjoy a peaceful evening, I must ask you to leave."

The two guards stepped forward, gesturing forcefully toward the exit.

"Preston..."

Jenna's eyes instantly filled with tears, and she looked at Preston in absolute panic.

Preston immediately stepped in front of her. "Chairman Shaw, don't you think you're taking this too far?"

He was shocked. Ken had thoroughly investigated Quentin, but found absolutely zero connection to Shaw Holdings. Despite his surprise, his first instinct was to protect Jenna.

He turned to Chloe.
