The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 168

Chloe gripped the jagged neck of the broken bottle, pressing the glass right against the girl's cheek.

In the chaotic lighting, her amber eyes were devoid of any warmth, sending a bone-chilling terror through the air.

"Does this jog your memory?"

The girl looked barely in her early twenties. Having spent her entire life spoiled rotten and treated like a princess, she had never been manhandled like this.

Tears of absolute terror instantly flooded her eyes. "I-I... Do you have any idea who I am? You're dead meat if you touch me!"

"Let's find out who dies first, you or me."

Chloe stared dead into her wide, innocent-looking eyes, pressing the glass a fraction deeper.

"Ahhh!!"

The girl shrieked in horror, sobbing hysterically.

"How did you find me?!"

"I didn't mean to go that far! You brought this on yourself! You knew Quentin was my fiancé, yet you deliberately tried to seduce him. Wasn't I supposed to teach you a lesson?"

"Besides, you're fine now, aren't you? What do you want, money? Fine, I'll pay you whatever you want!"

Just as her terror peaked, the heavy doors to the private room were forcefully shoved open again.

Seeing the man at the door, the girl burst into fresh, dramatic sobs, treating him like her absolute savior.

"Waaah! Quentin, you finally came to save me! I was going to die!"

Chloe instinctively looked back, her eyes meeting Quentin's glacial gaze.

He looked as though he had walked straight out of the blizzard, an unmelting frost clinging to the tips of his hair, his expression utterly murderous.

"..."

Chloe's grip on the broken bottle instinctively tightened.

She watched helplessly as Quentin closed the distance in long, predatory strides, clamped his hand over her wrist, and smoothly pried the broken glass from her fingers.

"Quentin..."

"Does it not hurt?" Quentin suddenly asked.
