Jenna's face went completely pale. "You psycho! You were recording me?" Her features twisted in a vicious snarl as she lunged forward. "Give me the phone! You shameless bitch!"

In the scuffle, the phone slipped and splashed straight into the fountain. Chloe looked down, watching as the brand-new device sank quickly to the bottom, lost in the rippling water.

Jenna burst into a nasty laugh. "Serves you right! I'm not dealing with your manipulative crap. Get out of here." Thrilled with her victory, she turned to walk away.

The very next second, Chloe delivered a swift, brutal kick, sending Jenna flying into the pool.

With a massive splash, water erupted everywhere. Terrified, Jenna flailed wildly, swallowing mouthfuls of the fountain water.

Chloe stared down at Jenna's pathetic, thrashing form, her face entirely devoid of emotion. "You're absolutely right. No one should deal with your crap."

Amidst the shocked gasps from the crowd, a figure sprinted to the edge of the fountain and plunged into the water without hesitation. Preston scooped Jenna into his arms and carried her out. He snatched a towel from a nearby waiter and wrapped it tightly around her. "Jenna, are you okay? Talk to me!" he demanded, his voice thick with panic.

Jenna's perfectly curled hair was plastered flat to her skin, her expensive makeup running down her face in messy streaks. Looking like a drowned rat, she heaved for air, shot a venomous glare at Chloe, and lunged forward, slapping her hard across the face.

Chloe had been completely paralyzed, watching Preston's desperate concern for the other woman. She didn't react in time and took the full force of the blow. A searing heat exploded across her cheek.

Furious, she raised her hand to strike back, but before she could make contact, a strong hand gripped her wrist. Preston glared at her, his eyes cold and filled with suppressed rage. "Chloe, what the hell are you trying to do?"

Jenna burst into dramatic sobs. "Preston, I don't understand what's wrong with her! She constantly treats me like an enemy and uses these disgusting tactics! That was attempted murder! She's completely insane! I'm calling the police!"

Facing her vicious slander, Preston's expression darkened even further. His grip on Chloe's wrist tightened painfully. "Apologize to Jenna right now."
