Suppressing her boiling fury, Chloe glared at him with ice in her eyes.
"This land at the foot of the hill is our private property. Without our consent, you have absolutely no right to touch it!"
Gus, his face covered in moles and his demeanor entirely sleazy, looked Chloe up and down with a vulgar smirk.
"Tsk. The old man was on the phone for ages, and all he managed to call in was a little sweetie like you? What, did you come here to entertain the boys?"
The rest of the crew erupted into crude laughter.
The very next second, a brutal, bone-crushing punch slammed directly into Gus's face, sending blood spraying into the air instantly.
Gus let out a horrific scream and crashed heavily to the ground. His vision went black, and he couldn't even manage to push himself up.
The word 'police,' which had been hovering on the tip of Chloe's tongue, died in her throat. She stared at Preston in absolute shock.
He had discarded his suit jacket. Standing tall and imposing, the man who was usually known for his refined, gentle demeanor was now radiating a terrifying, murderous aura that made the blood run cold.
Supported by his lackeys, Gus staggered to his feet, clutching his profusely bleeding nose. "Who the hell are you?! You've got a death wish—"
Preston didn't even give him the chance to finish.
He surged forward in a blur of motion. His fists were relentless, raining down punch after heavy punch. Every strike was calculated, brutal, and completely merciless.
Chloe was frozen in place. She had never seen Preston like this.
He rarely even raised his voice in daily life, always wearing that polite, detached smile, let alone engaging in a street brawl. It wasn't until someone in the crowd shrieked, "He's going to kill him!" that Chloe snapped back to reality.
She rushed forward and grabbed his arm, pulling with all her might.
"Preston, that's enough! Stop it, you're going to kill him!"
Preston lowered his fists. He stepped back, shielding Chloe behind him, and calmly pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the blood from his knuckles. He looked down at her, his voice astonishingly gentle. "Get in the car. I'll handle this."
