The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 928

"Daddy Chapman!" Raffy's sweet voice called out as he ran toward Harold, making Danielle freeze in place.

She turned to see Raffy throw himself into Harold's arms, looking up at him affectionately. Harold bent down, stroking the boy's head with a rare hint of softness in his eyes.

Danielle’s brow furrowed, a complex mix of emotions churning inside her. She knew Harold had taken Raffy in, but she never imagined the boy would be calling him 'daddy.'

As if sensing her gaze, Raffy turned. His eyes lit up when he saw Danielle, but the light quickly faded.

He wriggled out of Harold’s embrace and trotted over to Danielle, his small face tilted up and his eyes welling with tears. "Mommy…"

A wave of bitterness washed over Danielle as she looked at Raffy's tentative expression.

Ignoring her son, she fixed her gaze on Harold, her tone as cold as ice. "Mr. Chapman, I hope your affection for Raffy is genuine. I hope you truly want to be his father and aren't just using him as a pawn to manipulate others."

Harold had taken Raffy and taught him to call him 'daddy.' She couldn't bear to think about his motives, but she had to make her position clear from the start.

Seeing the wariness in Danielle’s eyes, Harold straightened up, pulling the approaching Raffy to his side and placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "You don't have to worry, Chief Engineer Crawford," he said calmly. "Now that he calls me his father, I intend to treat him as my son."

"As for everything else, don't overthink it. My business with Alexander will not involve the children."

"I hope not."

Without another glance at Harold or at Raffy's tear-filled eyes and outstretched hand, Danielle turned and walked away.

"Mommy…" Raffy’s voice was thick with tears. He took a small step forward, wanting to grab her dress, but Harold held him back.

Harold knelt, his voice softening as he looked into his son's red-rimmed eyes. "Raffy, Mommy has to go to work. Daddy Chapman will take you to see her in a little while, okay?"

Alexander looked down at her, tenderly brushing a strand of wind-blown hair from her face. "Of course. Wait here, don't wander off."

As he turned, he saw Niki running toward him, her face beaming with joy.

"Daddy!"

Niki threw herself into his arms, hugging his legs and looking up at him.

Alexander stiffened for a second before bending down to lift her up, his voice softening instinctively. "Niki, what are you doing here? Where are you going with Mommy?"

Lorie walked over, her eyes on Niki and a gentle smile on her face. She reached out and softly stroked Niki's hair. "You must be Niki. You're so adorable, and you look just like your father."
