The Wrong Girl and the Wronged Girl (Stella and Ethan) novel Chapter 892

The moment Kelly’s name came up, a flicker of guilt crossed Mona’s eyes.

“But there are so many records and accounts,” she said nervously. “I need some time to sort everything out first.”

“No need for records—just give me the money,” Marie said flatly.

Mona fell silent, cornered with no way out. In the end, under Marie’s unrelenting pressure, she unwillingly handed over all the family funds.

But Marie was smart—too smart.

She didn’t stop there; she went straight for Mona and Gary’s private stash.

That was crossing a line.

Mona was livid, yet completely helpless. Holt, worn down by the endless arguing, finally ordered that part of the money be given to Marie as well.

But even that wasn’t enough.

Finally, Marie announced, “From now on, I’ll be managing every credit card under the Tom family’s name.”

“What gives you the right?”

Gary, already on the verge of exploding, shot to his feet.

“Simple,” Marie said, unbothered. “My husband runs the company.”

Sure, the Tom family’s business was nothing like it used to be; her brother had already drained it dry.

But still—it was profitable.

“Don’t push it too far!” Gary barked, his voice cracking with anger.

She’d gone too far this time, and he couldn’t take it anymore.

Marie met his glare calmly. “Why not? I’m carrying Dad’s grandchild. If you’ve got what it takes, go get yourself pregnant too.”

Gary froze. This woman…

Just because she was pregnant, she thought she could take over the entire Tom family? Bleed them dry and swallow everything whole?

“Oh, please,” Gary snapped. “You act like you’re the only one who can get pregnant. I’ll go find a woman tomorrow and have a kid myself. What’s the big deal? It only takes one night!”

He was so furious that he was talking nonsense.

“Watch your mouth!” Mona scolded, scandalized.

“You stupid brat, shut up!” Holt thundered.

As if having a child was something you could just do with anyone. Pick the wrong woman, and it would be a nightmare.

Like now—with Derrick’s wife, Marie.

Yes, she was from the Dawson family, but Holt was starting to think his son had brought home a curse.

Marie went on, unfazed. “Since Dad doesn’t object, let’s call the bank now. From this point on, I’ll be the one managing all the credit cards.”

“If the bank has any issues, they can contact me directly.”

“The bank’s closed!” Mona snapped through gritted teeth.

And she actually planned to seize all the family’s financial control?

She wouldn’t even leave them a penny...

She kept bringing up pillow talk, and right to her face, too. Was this what the Dawson family taught their daughters? To insult their elders without a shred of respect?

There it was again—she used that unborn child like a weapon. The baby wasn’t even born yet, and she already knew how to wield it for leverage.

Finally, after hearing Marie call him “Dad” one too many times, Holt gave in. He personally called the bank and confirmed all the changes to the accounts and cards.

Mona and Gary were so furious they nearly flipped the table. But in front of Holt, neither dared to act out.

It had to be said—every “Dad” that came out of Marie’s mouth was worth a fortune.

Each one sent their blood pressure through the roof; they were seconds away from a collective heart attack.

When Holt finally hung up, his expression was dark. “Now are you satisfied?”

“Wait.”

As soon as he started to rise, Marie stopped him.

That single “wait” made Mona and Gary tense instantly.

Even Holt’s shoulders stiffened.

It was clear—after hearing Marie call him “Dad” all night, he was starting to develop a mild trauma response.

That voice was like a curse; whoever wanted to hear it could have it—none of them did.

Gary gritted his teeth. “What now?”

Marie pulled a thick stack of papers from her bag. “Dad might have called the bank, but—”
