The most important thing right now was to clear the air. Natalie didn't care about herself anymore—she'd already left the industry—but she couldn't let Dylan's career be destroyed because of her.
But before she could issue any kind of statement, Natalie needed to coordinate with Dylan to make sure he released one as well.
With that in mind, she quickly called him, but after three attempts, he still hadn't picked up.
"It's one in the morning. Do you think he's asleep?" Penelope asked, glancing at the time.
Natalie shook her head. "I doubt it. This thing is blowing up online. Even if he hasn't seen it himself, someone would have told him."
How could he possibly be sleeping through this?
Just as Natalie was about to try calling again, Dylan's wife called her.
"Is Dylan with you?"
"He's not with you?"
Natalie was stunned. "We went our separate ways after dinner."
"But he hasn't come home, and I can't reach him on his phone."
"Dylan said you were still recovering from childbirth and he needed to get back early, so we parted ways around nine."
The other end of the line went silent for a moment. "You've seen the trending posts, haven't you?"
"I'm so sorry. I've caused you both so much trouble."
"I'm just worried something might have happened to Dylan because of this scandal…"
Natalie's brow furrowed. If Dylan had gone missing because of this, there was only one possible explanation.
"Don’t worry. I think I know where he is. I'm going to find him now."
With that, Natalie quickly hung up, got to her feet, and headed for the door.
Penelope caught up to her. "Is it Hamilton?"
Natalie took a deep breath. "I'm going to find him now!"
Penelope grabbed her. "Where are you going to find him?"
"If Hamilton sees it, even if he doesn't believe it, a single moment of doubt could help Dylan."
Natalie immediately logged in. After a moment's thought, she posted a lengthy clarification, explaining each of the photos.
Her reappearance online instantly created a storm, and her post quickly shot to the top of the trending topics.
Penelope drove Natalie to Hamilton's estate, but they couldn't get the car past the gate. Natalie knocked for a long time before the butler finally came out.
After a brief exchange, Natalie returned to the car, disappointed.
"Hamilton's not home."
Penelope had expected as much. If Hamilton had really kidnapped Dylan, he wouldn't have brought him home.
An idea sparked in her mind. She immediately thought of Michael and quickly called him.
After she explained the situation, Michael, fearing Hamilton might harm an innocent person, agreed to help them get in touch with him.
Hamilton never hid things from his closest friends, so Michael quickly found out his location.
