"Dad, I thought you didn't know how to cook."

Theodore handed him a set of utensils. "Did I ever say I couldn't?"

"But you've never cooked for me."

"You've never gone hungry."

Julian took a deep breath and consoled himself: Dad is so busy, it's understandable he doesn't have time to cook for me. Besides, he's never cooked for anyone else.

"After all these years, has your cooking not improved at all?" Penelope said it casually, but she immediately regretted it, especially when she felt several sharp glares directed at her.

"You've eaten my dad's cooking before?" Julian raised an eyebrow.
