The man kept a firm grip on her wrist, holding her hand all the way to the dining room.

When they sat down, he still didn't let go, staring at his phone as he texted someone.

Natalie tried to pull her hand back.

He looked at her, his eyes darkening. "Don't move."

She ignored him completely, struggling against his grip and using her free hand to pry his fingers apart.

Her wrist began to ache. Frowning, she stubbornly tried to force their hands apart.

"Grandma is coming," he said calmly.

Natalie looked up and saw Cecily approaching, surrounded by a few relatives.

She stopped struggling.

The people around Cecily all knew Natalie, and upon seeing her, they teased, "Oh, you two are so in love. You even have to hold hands at dinner."

Being teased by the elders made Natalie's face flush hotly.

Rhea retracted her gaze and glared coldly at the person beside her. "Didn't you say they were getting a divorce?"

"Well... that's what I heard," the other woman replied, equally confused. "Besides, I even have photos of Natalie eating out with another man."

She opened her purse and pulled out two photographs.

One was a picture of Natalie and Quinn Harper entering a restaurant, and the other showed them coming out, with Natalie wearing Quinn's jacket and leaning into his embrace. They looked incredibly intimate.

"Chloe Banks gave these to me. She said she sent a copy to Hassan, but he didn't react at all."

"He's probably just putting on a brave face to save his pride," Rhea sneered. "After all, Gardenia Sutton is disabled and far too unpresentable. He'd rather stick with a useless piece of trash like Natalie."

As more people filled the room, Hassan finally let go. Natalie rubbed her wrist, her brows furrowed slightly.

Hassan glanced at her and said, "If you know it hurts, then be obedient from now on."
