"I have been quite busy recently," Natalie replied with a neutral expression, sidestepping the actual question.

With the rest of the Carlson Family present, she couldn't flat-out deny that they were trying to conceive.

When Rhea asked, she was clearly watching Hassan's reaction; Natalie's answer didn't matter to her.

Naturally, everyone else's gaze shifted to Hassan as well.

He had just placed a black chess piece. He glanced up at Natalie, refusing to give the room a straight answer. Instead, he simply said, "That gummy from earlier was quite good."

She forced a tight smile. "I'm all out."

The man asked again, "Where did you buy them?"

"A friend got them to meet a shipping minimum. He didn't want them."

Hearing this, he looked at her again but didn't press the issue further.

Rhea, feeling ignored, sat to the side with a sour expression. The relative next to her naturally played peacemaker, smiling as she said, "In the blink of an eye, Natalie has grown up so much. Back then, she was just a little thing. When you were young, you always loved following Hassan around. Who would have thought that you'd end up becoming his wife?"

Rhea chuckled lightly. "She certainly had a good eye at such a young age. None of the other kids dared to chase after Hassan like that. Just the other day, Mrs. Banks was telling me it's a shame her own daughter didn't have that kind of perseverance."

Given the unequal dynamic between Natalie and Hassan, this was a thinly veiled implication that Natalie had been manipulative from a young age, intentionally clinging to him.

"Rhea," Hassan suddenly spoke up. "How has Natalie upset you?"
