Stewart's dark gaze landed heavily on Hassan. "If my grandson had even half of your capability, I'd be burning incense in gratitude every single day."

Warren glared at Hassan, his eyes full of bitter resentment. If William hadn't shot him a warning glare, there was no telling what kind of obscenities he would have spewed.

Hassan gave Stewart a slight nod. "Since we've cleared the air, I believe it's time we settle this."

He hadn't released Natalie's hand, his long fingers gently stroking the back of hers. "I think it's only fair that Warren apologizes to Natalie. That isn't asking too much, is it?"

Wanda's eyes went wide, her displeasure obvious. He actually expected her son to apologize?

Even if he had accidentally held his wife's hand, her son had been beaten badly enough to land in the hospital and had been unconscious for days. What more did they want?!

Warren, leaning heavily on the fact that he was the injured party, lashed out. "I say she should apologize to me! If she wasn't so pretty, I wouldn't have bothered her when I was drunk! Showing up at a place like that in the middle of the night dressed to kill—what kind of decent woman does that?!"

"And you? Getting blackout drunk at a place like that in the middle of the night—what kind of decent man does that?" Natalie sneered, glaring at him through the open door. "Does being drunk give you a free pass to harass women? Funny how you never seem to drunkenly harass your superiors!"

Hassan's grip on her hand tightened. Feeling the pressure, Natalie stopped her advance toward the bedroom.

Hassan turned to Stewart. "It seems Warren has no intention of apologizing. I was hoping this minor incident wouldn't damage the relationship between our families, but since he insists on being difficult..."

Stewart grabbed a teacup and hurled it straight into the bedroom. It shattered violently against Warren. "You pull a stunt like this and still refuse to apologize?!" he roared, his voice thunderous and absolute. "If you don't apologize right now, the Walsh family is cutting ties with you! You can handle your own mess! I'm too old to keep cleaning up your garbage!"

At the threat of being disowned, true fear finally flashed in Warren's eyes. "Grandpa, I'm your flesh and blood! How can you say that to me?!"

"Flesh and blood?" Stewart bellowed. "You aren't my only grandson!"

Whoever it was, if they ever made the Carlson family an enemy, he would drop them without hesitation.
