Stewart cleared his throat. "Alright, stop arguing. You're giving me a headache."

His hair was stark white, and he was dressed in loose, comfortable clothes, holding a string of prayer beads in his hand like a man entirely detached from worldly affairs. "Hassan, when your grandfather came to me last time and said Warren had offended your wife, I told him right then and there: if it comes down to a conflict between you and my grandson, I don't even need to hear the details. I know Warren must have been in the wrong. I taught him a harsh lesson after that."

At this point, his tone shifted. "I know his temperament. He doesn't have much of a backbone. After I chewed him out, he probably goes out of his way to avoid your people. So this time, I want to hear your explanation. Don't you think this went a little too far?"

Once Stewart finished, Wanda stood up and picked up the teapot from the table. "I'll go get some more water."

As she carried the teapot away, she also scooped up the gifts Zeke had left on the side cabinet.

She walked into the kitchenette and pulled the boxes open to take a peek.

Just as she thought—the whole "health supplements" line was purely for show.

Inside the two massive gift boxes, tucked beneath the gastrodia root, was a custom-made purple clay tea set worth millions, while the other held a museum-grade piece of calligraphy.

She quickly texted Stewart and William to let them know.

Then she carried the fresh tea back out.

She arrived just in time to hear Hassan speaking in a slow, measured tone. "It's quite a coincidence, really. The first incident happened in a private dining room, and this one occurred outside a club restroom. Conveniently, neither location had security cameras to verify what happened."

Wanda's lips curled into a cold sneer. They already knew that. With no evidence to prove anything, the Carlsons would just have to swallow their grievances.

Of course, Wanda knew exactly what her son was like. He had undoubtedly had too much to drink and threw himself at a pretty face. But there was no proof. The fact that he was severely injured and hospitalized was more than enough leverage against the Carlson family.
