"Alright, alright, take it easy. I'll go with you. I'm calling a car right now. You are in no condition to drive."
Before Nancy even finished speaking, Natalie was out the door, forcing Nancy to sprint after her.
When they got downstairs, the car waiting for them belonged to Hassan.
Natalie looked at Nancy, completely bewildered. "You called a car?"
Nancy nodded. Yeah, I called a car.
Natalie paused.
A second later, Nancy added, "Because of you, the police showed up at the Carlson Estate. The whole family is definitely pissed at you right now. Of course it's better to bring Hassan along for backup."
Otherwise, they might get locked out before they even reached the front door.
If you wanted to catch someone slipping up, the most important thing was to have an imposing presence.
Natalie didn't say anything else. She opened the door and slid in.
She sat in the middle, with Hassan on her left and Nancy on her right. Her frantic, racing heart inexplicably began to settle.
It didn't take long for them to reach the estate.
Because of the police, and the previous incident, Cecily was indeed giving Natalie the cold shoulder. But since Hassan was there, she held her tongue.
Natalie scanned the room. "Where's Rhea?"
Cecily glanced at her. "Why do you want her? She went out with friends."
Natalie pressed on, "Where did she go?"
"Probably the spa or to play Mahjong," Cecily replied, suddenly feeling like an obedient little maid answering questions.
She was annoyed, but seeing how utterly exhausted Natalie looked, she decided not to make a fuss.
