When Natalie woke up again, the sound of the sketch artists discussing the suspects filled her ears.

"The sketches are done, but with our current technology, we can't tell if they used silicone or latex prosthetics to alter their features."

"Let's use these to keep an eye out for now."

An officer chimed in, "We need to act fast. In a few hours, we won't be able to hold the roadblock."

A city this massive would spring to life at five in the morning; a roadblock would be impossible to maintain.

"Any word on the van?"

"Over a dozen vans left the hospital. After narrowing it down, we confirmed the last one has no hospital records, but the plates were fake. We tracked down the registered owner of the license plate; his plates were stolen. The van was found abandoned at an old steel mill. They swapped vehicles and intentionally avoided all the cameras."

Natalie sat up. The heavy coat slipped off her, and her back felt strange.

She reached behind her and pulled out the crumpled tissues.

Her brain had no capacity to process the little details right now. The moment she was awake, her eyes were locked on the sketches.

Her body felt incredibly weak. Nancy stepped in to support her.

Hassan walked over to the sofa, picked up the coat, and draped it back over Natalie's shoulders.

Nancy pulled it tighter around her. "You just woke up. Don't catch a cold. We still need to figure out what happened to Yvonne."

Natalie didn't argue. She stayed wrapped in the oversized coat that engulfed her small frame.

By five o'clock, even with the roadblocks, they hadn't found a single trace of the suspects' new vehicle.

After Natalie looked at the sketches and confirmed she didn't recognize any of them, the police concluded these were likely highly paid professionals. They asked if she had made any recent enemies.

Thinking of enemies, the first people who came to mind were Joelle Nash, who had just returned, and Gardenia Sutton.

But neither of them had a motive.

"Think hard on it. In the meantime, we suggest you go home and get some rest. You're in no condition to stay here any longer."
