Zora’s POV

At once, as if my body was moving on instinct alone, my eyes closed, I leaned into him, melting agai his strong body and those demanding lips, that searching tongue that immediately licked its way int

mouth.

I clung onto Neo’s shoulders, my knees going week.

Inside of me, the mating bond wasn’t just strumming anymore, it was ringing loudly, blaring even up my eardrums.

At once, the bond shown so brightly that it was impossible to ignore anymore. Impossible to deny.

Neo was my fifth mate. He had to be. My wolf knew it too, drawing closer, satisfied.

Our mysterious fifth mate didn’t even know who he was, but Gods, he kissed like a devil. His hand on cheek moved my face this way and that, moving me so that it was easier for him to entirely devour my

mouth.

As he pulled back, allowing me to catch my breath, I looked up at him with wonder in my gaze. He wor the same expression, looking down at me.

“It’s you,” I said. “You’re mine. My fifth mate.”

He grinned. “I don’t really understand what that means, but I’m glad. Especially if that means you are mine, too.”

“I am,” I said, just before he claimed my mouth for another searing kiss.

We kissed until my lips hurt, and then we laughed and pressed our foreheads together. I liked touching him, couldn’t keep my hands off of his shoulder or his arm or his hand.

And with those kisses, with that budding power between us, I felt myself growing more and more powerful, my final mating bond slotting into place.

“I feel so strong,” I said

“Because of me?”

“Yes.”

He smiled. “Good”

“I want to try teleporting again,” I said I think I can go even farther.”

He kissed my cheek “I trust you, but be careful”

I wasn’t sure what I had done to earn that easy trust, that smooth confidence in me Maybe it was because we were mates, that he knew I wouldn’t leave him, that he could feel the bond now too

“Stay here,” I said and snaked out of his arms.

He grumbled. “I don’t like letting you go.”

“I’ll be back in one minute.”

I dashed away to the tree line, then went a bit beyond it, allowing for some obstacles in our way.

Turning, I focused on Neo. He was farther away than maybe he’d ever been. But I could do this. I kne

could.

I reached out mentally toward him, imagining myself right there beside him.

One moment I was in the forest, the brush scratching my legs. In a blink, I was standing in front of N with him looking down at me, warmly smiling.

“You did it.”

“I did,” I said, grinning in return. “And it felt really great. Easier than before. I think… Well, I want to practice a few more times, but then I think I might be able to try teleporting both of us.”

“Let’s try that,” Neo said. “I don’t like the idea of being left behind.”

“But I should practice alone first,” I reasoned.

“No,” Neo was persistent, determined. “Do it together now.”

I wasn’t sure, but Neo seemed confident. And if he thought I could do it…

He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me against him in a tight hug.

“Where should we go?”

“Anywhere,” Neo said.

“Okay.” I gripped onto his shoulders, then focused on the cabin. That wasn’t too far. I planned to only take us to the front door, a few feet away.

I imagined it, Neo and I holding each other in front of the door, just like this.

“You can do this…” Neo whispered.
