Chapter 125 Davis Wants to Observe
Nora’s heart ached for Whitney, but she kept it to herself, not wanting to hurt Whitney’s pride.
Her eyes were full of tears. “I’m glad you’re okay, Whitney. I really thought you’d gotten ambushed or something!”
“No one can ambush me,” Whitney replied. She wasn’t the idiot she used to be in her previous life. No one would pull that
off now.
Nora sniffled. “I’m in Reynfort filming these days. Let’s hang out when you’re free.”
Whitney didn’t mind. “Sure.”
Nora’s eyes darted around the screen, her face lighting up with excitement. “Whitney, your background is so luxurious Do t tell me you’re at Prestige Manor right now?”
Whitney nodded.
She turned the camera to show the room behind her. “If you like it, come over. I’m usually home.”
Nora was still admiring the glittering, opulent surroundings, thinking, ‘Even when I’m filming those high–society dramas, the places we rent aren’t close to a fraction of this place’s grandeur.‘
At that moment, she was itching to clock out and rush to Prestige Manor for a taste of the good life.
She was still wiping her eyes, unable to stop gushing with envy.
But then, her gaze caught sight of something in the frame. “Wait, Whitney, hold on. Don’t move!”
Whitney stopped panning the camera.
On screen, a tall, strong figure stood by the luxurious dining table, standing forceful and elegant.
His black suit only emphasized his long legs and narrow waist.
That cold, untouchable aura he gave off nearly knocked Nora senseless, and she was totally dazed.
“Ryan!” Nora squealed.
She thought, ‘Ryan’s really at Whitney’s house.
‘Are Ryan and Whitney actually living together?
Mknew it! The way Ryan and Whitney acted on the show was so suspicious.
‘I knew it! They’re totally together. Wait, for real. They’re actually a thing.‘
Nora was freaking out, shouting nonstop, “My ship is real. I can’t believe it, and it’s actually happening.
Whitney was speechless.
‘Seriously, is this girl nuts?‘ Whitney thought.
Whitney flipped the camera around to show her face. “We’re not living together. He lives next door. I got back from my old place today, and he stopped by to check in on me.”
Her bold, makeup–free face filled the screen in a close–up that would wreck most people.
But Nora was still drooling and squealing, “Oh my god, Whitney, your beauty is slaying me. My heart can’t handle it. Ryan is so hot, and you’re so gorgeous. You two are a match made in heaven!” Clearly, Nora wasn’t paying attention to Whitney’s explanation anymore. She was totally lost in the fantasy that her ship had actually come true. Whitney turned to look at Ryan, who was clearing up the dining table.
His profile was exquisitely beautiful, his eyes lowered, and his long, thick lashes falling gently, giving him an especially calm and gentle vibe.
She thought, That face is truly a rare beauty in this world.
‘He is seriously blessed with a god–tier face.
‘No wonder Nora is freaking out.‘
“Alright, hurry up and finish your scenes. When you’ve got some free time, swing by and we’ll hang out,” Whitney said, noticing the crew had been hollering for Nora for ages.
But Nora was so wrapped up in her own fantasy that she couldn’t hear Whitney at all, never mind the crew shouting for her.
It wasn’t until the director finally lost it and whacked Nora on the head with the script that she snapped out of it.

Only then did Nora finally come back to her senses.
After the call ended, Ryan had already finished clearing the dining table.
Whitney tilted her head at him. “Do you want me to check what’s going on with your health now, or would you rather get some rest first, and I’ll take a look tonight?”
Ryan was speechless. ‘Why does that sound kind of off?‘ he thought.
But he couldn’t really argue since he really did have a lot of health problems.
He said, “Let’s do it tonight. But I have a favor to ask.”
He pulled out his phone and opened a chat window.
He explained, “Before I went on the show, my health was already starting to give out. It was all thanks to Davis from the Medical Association that I managed to hold it together.
“The reason I agreed to go on the show was that I heard Davis would be on that wild island.
“After the show wrapped, Davis rushed over to my place. I’d been hiking and trekking all over the island during filming, and it really freaked him out. He was worried my health might take a turn for the worse.
“When he checked me out, he was shocked to see my health had actually improved a lot. There wasn’t the slightest sign of any decline.
“I remembered that day on the wild island when you took care of me through my high fever. You fed me a bowl of medicine, and I can’t help but think maybe that’s what made all the difference.”
“Davis wants to meet you.”
As he said this, a hint of embarrassment appeared on Ryan’s usually composed face. “If you’re not comfortable with can turn him down.”
Whitney glanced at the chat on the screen.
Most of the messages were Davis fussing over Ryan’s health, and after hearing about the miracle doctor, he was practically bursting with excitement to meet her.
Between the lines, it was obvious that Davis had been the one looking after Ryan all these years. He knew Ryan’s body better than Ryan himself.
So he wanted to be there to explain everything to her.
Whitney didn’t really care. “If he wants to come, let him.”
She thought, ‘That old man is a total medical fanatic.
‘Whenever he heard about someone whose skills were better than his, he’d be dying to meet them and pick their brain. ‘If he ever ran into a real medical genius, he wouldn’t stop bugging them until they finally agreed to join his Medical Association.”
She’d experienced firsthand the torture of his persistence.
Ryan’s eyes curved into a charming arc. “As long as you’re okay with it.”
Whitney shrugged. “I don’t mind at all. If he’s here, he can help out, and it’ll make things easier for me.”
Only Whitney would dare say something like that, asking the president of the Medical Association to play assistant. And she said it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Meanwhile, over at the Anderson family, things were in total chaos.
An hour after Whitney’s Sidekick got off the phone with Brandon, they dropped another video.
This time, it was a compilation of every single frame from the Real Survival livestream that involved Emily and Chase.
It included all the different camera angles and all those sneaky little interactions in the corners that the viewers never noticed.
And it was a full five hours long.
And in all those clips, Chase and Emily were either hugging or wrapped around each other.
Emily was always red–eyed and crying, burying herself in Chase’s arms for comfort.
No one had the patience to sit through five hours of these cringeworthy moments.
So everyone started dragging the progress bar.

And no matter where they stopped, they’d always end up at another over–the–top scene between Chase and Emily. Their interactions were so sugary, idol dramas seemed dull by comparison.
