Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 194

Recognizing that familiar voice, Willow turned and saw a tall figure striding toward them from a distance. Instantly, a lump formed in her throat.

She had no idea why he was here. Wasn't he supposed to be in a meeting in his office at this hour? And how had he even found them?

All she knew was that the moment he appeared, all her anxiety and agitation vanished, replaced by a profound sense of security—and a sudden wave of unspoken vulnerability that she couldn't quite explain.

It was Julian's first time seeing this man, but judging from his elegant posture and the chilling, predatory aura he exuded, his identity wasn't hard to guess. After all, the only person who dared to speak like that at Merit Biotech was the man behind the curtain himself, Silas Thorne.

Julian released Willow's arm, took two steps forward, and greeted him proactively. "Mr. Thorne."

Silas completely ignored him. He pulled Willow behind him, lowering his voice so only she could hear as he asked if she was alright. Once she shook her head, he finally shifted his gaze to Julian.

His expression was unreadable, his eyes utterly devoid of emotion as he stared directly at the other man. "What did you do to her?"

Julian hadn't expected him to be so blunt, skipping the pleasantries altogether. Clearly, Silas didn't take him seriously. Feeling his own temper flare, Julian shot back, "I think you're mistaken. We're married. What could I possibly do to her?"

Bringing up their marriage was the worst thing he could have done. Silas's anger surged, an impenetrable frost radiating from him. When he spoke, his words were laced with ice. "I don't care what your private relationship is. This is Merit Biotech. Here, she is my employee, and I will not allow my employee to be bullied in the slightest."

As his words fell, both Julian and Willow froze.
