Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 366

Thanks to Silas's specific orders the night before, Willow didn't go into the office. But even though she stayed home, she didn't get to sleep in. First thing in the morning, before she was even out of bed, a shriek tore through the apartment.

"Ahhhhh!"

The scream was loud enough to blast the roof off.

A second later, Jade threw herself onto Willow's bed, burying her face in the mattress.

"Willow, I can never show my face again. My life is over," Jade wailed. It was her first time inviting Hugo to dinner, and it had turned into an absolute catastrophe. If she had known this would happen, she never would have asked him. She had wanted to bridge the gap between them and leave a good impression. Instead, her image was completely shattered.

Willow figured the alcohol had finally worn off and the memories were flooding back. She felt terrible for her, but what was done was done.

"You remember everything?" she asked.

Jade's voice was muffled by the blankets. "Getting drunk, you guys dragging me home, you covering my mouth."

She remembered the broad strokes, even if the exact details were fuzzy.

"That's pretty much the gist of it." Willow patted her friend's back, trying to soothe her. "Honestly, it's not a big deal. Everyone gets drunk sometimes. And aside from being a little loud, you weren't that bad. It's much better than the people who throw full tantrums in public."

Jade knew Willow was just trying to be nice, but the words provided zero comfort. She shouldn't have been anything less than perfectly poised in front of him. Even if she was going to get blackout drunk, she could have picked literally any other night.
