"Go tell the judge that, not me," Jade said, rolling her eyes like she was looking at an absolute idiot. "Who gives a damn about what you think?"
Julian swallowed his mounting fury, barely holding himself back from storming off. He was desperate. He hadn't seen Willow in days, and she had blocked him on every single platform. After finally tracking down Jade's address, he had rushed over and waited for hours, only to find Jade instead of his wife.
"The only reason she has the nerve to act like this is because she hooked up with Arthur Vance," Julian sneered. "I suggest you tell her to think carefully. No matter how capable Arthur is, he's just an executive assistant at Merit Biotech. To put it bluntly, he's nothing but Silas Thorne's lapdog. And he's practically a middle-aged man. She really has no standards if she can stomach someone like him."
He adjusted his cuffs, his tone dripping with arrogance. "If you have the time, knock some sense into her. Instead of fooling around with some old man, she'd be much better off dropping the divorce. Anyone with half a brain can see how I stack up against Arthur Vance. As long as she's willing to come home and withdraw the lawsuit, I'm not entirely heartless. I can let her keep the title of Mrs. Sinclair."
Jade barely registered half of what he said, treating his words like a dog barking at a passing car. But when he mentioned Willow and Arthur, she couldn't hold back a burst of genuine laughter. "You actually think Willow and Arthur are involved?"
"Aren't they?" Julian retorted coldly. "I looked into her mother's hospital arrangements and her sudden job transfer. Arthur Vance orchestrated all of it. Why would he go to such lengths for her if they weren't sleeping together?"
He crossed his arms. "Besides, who else at Merit Biotech has that kind of power? Silas Thorne, obviously. But do you honestly expect me to believe Silas is the one pulling the strings?"
Julian let out a mocking laugh. "Even a fool knows a man like Silas wouldn't look twice at her. Setting aside the rumors that he has zero interest in romance, even if he did, he'd never pick her."
Warming up to his own flawless logic, Julian seemed to gain a burst of arrogant energy. "He's worth billions, flawlessly handsome, and practically controls the entire economy of Seattle. Are you seriously trying to tell me that a man who can have any young, single, stunningly beautiful woman in the world would suddenly fall for a divorced woman? Do you think anyone would actually buy that story?"
