Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 388

As Willow approached, Julian held out the flowers. "For you. Do you like them?"

Willow didn't even look at them. She shoved the bouquet away. "Are you out of your mind?"

Julian acted as if the rejection never happened, keeping the charming smile plastered on his face. "Ah, so you don't like roses. I'll get something else next time."

"Julian, can you act like a normal human being?" Willow glared at him like he was a lunatic. Eager to get this over with, she cut straight to the chase. "I came down here like you asked. Now get out."

Julian shook his head. "Did you forget? I'm here to pick you up from work."

"I've really given you too much leeway," Willow said, her voice ice-cold. "Don't flatter yourself by thinking I came down because your little threats worked. I just don't want to make a public scene. At the end of the day, I'm just an employee. You're the CEO of the Sinclair Group. I have nothing to lose, but you do. If you push me and this turns into a massive public scandal, do you honestly think you'll walk away unscathed?"

She took a step closer, her eyes blazing. "Forget Vivienne. I guarantee the Sinclair family elders will skin you alive if you drag the company's name through the mud."

Having lived among the Sinclairs, Willow knew exactly how that family operated. Beneath the glittering facade of immense wealth and power lay a rotten core of greed and vicious power struggles. Every polite conversation was laced with poison; every alliance was built on calculated betrayal.

It was the only environment that could have produced twisted people like Julian and Vivienne.

Sure enough, her words struck a nerve. Julian froze.
