Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 490

Meanwhile, back in Mayor Henderson's house, Silas was gently and patiently changing Willow's bandages.

His long, elegant fingers gripped a sterile cotton swab, his movements unbelievably light as he meticulously cleaned the wounds and applied fresh ointment. He was incredibly restrained, terrified that applying even slightly too much pressure would hurt her, radiating nothing but pure, protective caution.

The room was completely silent, filled only with the faint, soothing scent of the medical ointment and the steady rhythm of their breathing. It was a picture of absolute tranquility.

Suddenly, Silas's phone, resting on the bedside table, lit up. He glanced at the caller ID, picked it up, and prepared to step out. "Wait for me a moment, I need to take this."

"Okay," Willow nodded.

Silas quickly returned. Willow looked up at him, noticing the sharp, cold edge to his expression. Piecing it together with the fragmented words she had overheard, she asked, "Is it about the kidnapping? Did you find something?"

Silas walked closer, his gaze softening as it landed on her delicate, gentle face. He did not hide anything, answering her openly. "Yes, we found her. My men intercepted her while she was on her way back to New York City."

They had briefly discussed the situation beforehand. Though they had not gone into extensive detail, both knew Vivienne was the mastermind behind the attack.

Willow fell silent for a few seconds, quickly processing the information before asking softly, "What are you going to do? We do not have any concrete evidence. Holding her accountable through official channels will be almost impossible."

Vivienne was exceptionally cunning and had left zero hard evidence behind. Even if everyone knew she was guilty, convicting her through normal legal means was a massive long shot.

But Silas's expression remained perfectly calm. His voice was indifferent yet radiating absolute authority and control. "It is very simple."

He paused, his lips parting to deliver a chilling, uncompromising verdict. "Whatever she did to you, I am doing to her."
