Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 501

But when he arrived, Willow was nowhere to be seen. Silas Thorne stood alone.

His tall, imposing frame was clad in a sharply tailored dark suit that looked entirely out of place in the rustic, dilapidated courtyard. Even standing in complete silence, he radiated a suffocating, predatory dominance.

Julian Sinclair faltered mid-step, a surge of instinctual apprehension tightening his chest.

Silas's status, ruthlessness, and sheer power easily eclipsed his own. Factoring in the ongoing collaboration between their two firms, Julian had no intention of going head-to-head with the man. Despite the fiery rage consuming him, he forced his fury down, burying his hostility beneath a veneer of polite restraint.

"Mr. Thorne," he said, giving a slight nod. "Apologies for the intrusion. I'm just looking for Willow. Could you tell me where she is? I have a few words for her."

Silas lowered his gaze, his dark eyes eerily unreadable. "If you want to get to Willow, you go through me," he stated, every word laced with quiet authority.

Without missing a beat, his gaze slid past Julian, locking onto Vivienne, who was cowering behind him. "You actually had the nerve to show your face," he drawled.

Silas had already received word that she had escaped the cave. He assumed she would lay low for a while, yet here she was, parading around without a single shred of remorse.

Vivienne violently flinched, her blood running icy in her veins. She was absolutely terrified of the man. His cold, impassive demeanor always made her feel like he could see right through her—unlike Julian, who was effortlessly manipulated.

She instinctively shrank back, hiding further behind Julian's tall frame. Gripping his sleeve with trembling hands, she lowered her head, playing the part of the fragile, traumatized victim to perfection.
