Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 548

The moment Julian's name was mentioned, warning bells blared in Vivienne's mind.

The thing she feared more than anything else was Julian finding out about this. That was exactly why she had been so terrified just moments ago.

She knew Julian intimately. The man was an absolute egocentric, possessing an obsessively sick need for control woven right into his DNA. He was the king of double standards—he could do whatever he pleased, but he would absolutely never tolerate his partner crossing the line even slightly.

If he found out about this, given his ruthless and obsessive nature, he would never let her off easily. After all, she had witnessed firsthand exactly how he had treated Willow in the past.

But after a brief second of sheer panic, Vivienne rapidly shoved down the rising terror in her chest and forced herself to stay calm. Since there was no concrete proof anyway, there was no reason to be afraid. "Go ahead and tell Julian. It's nothing but baseless lies anyway. I doubt he'll believe a word you say."

Willow lowered her eyes, her gaze icy and detached, not a single ripple of emotion on her face.

She genuinely couldn't care less about getting involved in Vivienne and Julian's toxic, messy drama. The two of them were completely scheming, filthy, and petty. Just looking at them made her stomach churn, let alone wasting the energy to tattle or stir up trouble.

The only reason she had even said that was to provoke Vivienne into backing off so she could finally leave in peace.

Looking at it now, arguing with garbage was simply the most useless waste of time.

Unwilling to waste another breath, Willow shot her a cold look, turned on her heel, and prepared to leave. But surprisingly, Vivienne became even more aggressive and started acting high and mighty. "I wasn't finished talking. Why are you in such a rush to leave? What, feeling guilty?"

Willow stopped in her tracks and turned back, frowning at her.

Vivienne's mocking words rained down on her like a barrage. "You have the nerve to threaten me with something like that? Aren't you the one who specializes in playing ambiguous games and stringing multiple men along, Willow?"

"You're not even divorced yet, but you've already hooked up with someone else. You're really living the high life, aren't you?" She glared at Willow's stunning, aloof features, her eyes practically overflowing with bitter resentment and jealousy. "I really just can't figure it out. What exactly does Silas see in you?"
