Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 106

It wasn't nostalgia she felt, but a chilling realization.

He was really going to incredible lengths just to keep her blindly playing the shield for him and Seraphina.

Thinking back, she used to bend over backward just to get him to spend a little more time with her, yet she couldn't even get him to bat an eye...

Suddenly, a ringtone shattered the silence.

Clara snapped out of her daze and picked up her phone. "Hey, Leo."

"Dammit..." Leo Miller cursed.

"Huh?" Clara was stunned.

Realizing what he had said, Leo quickly apologized.

"I'm not cursing at you, I'm cursing at Julian Lowell. I went to Aurelia Design today to fight for your preliminary spot, right? And guess who I ran into? Him! I bet he's there to steal the spot too! He's an absolute monster!"

Clara pursed her lips in silence...

Leo continued, "But don't worry, that spot is definitely yours! Trust me, trust our mentor."

Clara smiled gratefully. "Yeah, thank you, Leo."

"Don't mention it. Get back to what you were doing. I'm going to go talk to the manager now."

"Okay."

She hung up.

The light turned green.

Clara stepped on the gas, her eyes burning with fierce determination.

She had already given up so much for Julian.

This competition was her chance to rise from the ashes, and she wasn't going to back down a single inch!

...

Clara arrived at the hospital and picked up Miles. Zane Sutton shamelessly followed her downstairs, piling on the flattery.

"Miles, look at how good your aunt is to our family, and to you. You have to be deeply filial to her when you grow up, do you hear me?"

When Miles just stared blankly without saying a word, Zane frowned and smacked him a few times.

Miles immediately winced in pain.

Clara couldn't take it anymore. She shoved Zane's hand away, shielding Miles behind her as she shot him a sharp warning.
