Clara jolted back to reality. Looking at the unfamiliar, handsome face before her, the messy thoughts in her head gradually cleared...
How long had she even known him? Where did this sense of familiarity come from?
It was truly absurd.
She shook her head awkwardly, her ears growing hot, and uncomfortably tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear.
"N-nothing... I wasn't looking at anything."
Hearing this, Dominic's heart suddenly sank.
He thought, if the person in front of him was his Sarah West, she would definitely be acting coy right now, saying:
*My boyfriend looked so handsome playing just now! I couldn't help but be mesmerized.*
Unfortunately, she wasn't.
"Mm," Dominic replied softly.
Just then, two young women suddenly walked over, taking out their phones to ask him, "Hey handsome, could we add you on WeChat?"
Clara subconsciously took a step back, but for some reason, witnessing this scene brought an indescribable sense of discomfort to her heart...
Dominic frowned slightly and politely refused. "Sorry, no."
"Ah, alright then. We won't bother you."
The two women smiled, assuming he was pursuing Clara, and turned away sheepishly.
Dominic straightened his slightly rumpled cuffs. Seeing Clara still standing there blankly, looking somewhat adorable, he suddenly found it amusing.
He reached his hand out to her. "Give it to me, thank you."
"Ah?" Clara reacted a beat too slow. "What?"
Dominic stepped closer, lifting his chin toward the suit jacket in her arms, his gaze fixed intently on her.
Clara realized what he meant, her cheeks warming, and quickly handed him the jacket. "Oh, oh... sorry..."
Dominic chuckled but didn't say anything. As for why he laughed, even he didn't realize it himself...
"Uncle, you were amazing! We're definitely going to be first place this time!" Parker and Miles ran back after checking the scores.
Dominic ruffled Parker's hair. "Alright, alright."
Parker huffed, taking a mile when given an inch. "Uncle, since you're so awesome, why don't you treat us to lunch again! Pretty please? I want to eat at that seafood place from last time!"
