Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 13

At that moment, the waiter pushed the door open and asked politely, "Excuse me, would you like the food served now?"

Clara's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly replied, "Yes, serve it now, please."

She then pulled out a chair, gesturing nervously for Dominic to sit. "Please, have a seat, Mr. Jarrett."

Dominic gave her a deep look and nodded composedly, his voice slightly hoarse.

"Thank you."

Reading the room, Toby stepped forward and poured tea for the two of them.

Seizing the opportunity, he asked, "Ms. Vance, judging by your accent, are you a Capital City local? Or did you move here for work?"

Dominic picked up his teacup for a sip, his cold, thin eyelids masking the profound depth in his eyes.

Clara thought for a moment and answered, "I'm a Capital City local."

Dominic's grip on his teacup tightened.

Toby said, "I see."

He thought to himself, *Of course, Ms. West passed away three years ago. There's no way this could be her. They just... look alike.*

*And maybe, this is a deliberate tactic by Lowell Industries to secure the partnership.*

"I thought you were from the south, Ms. Vance. You have very delicate features."

Clara's smile faltered slightly. For some reason, hearing the word 'south' gave her a strange feeling.

But she didn't dwell on it. Following the conversation, she was about to mention that she didn't remember some things from her past and only knew she had followed her sister to Capital City three years ago.

Just then, the waiter brought in the dishes.

The plates were garnished with fresh flowers.

Clara, being allergic to pollen, couldn't help but sneeze as soon as she caught the faint floral scent.

"Achoo!"

She quickly covered her mouth and nose. Her eyes, slightly red and watery from the sneeze, looked toward Dominic. "I'm sorry, Mr. Jarrett. I'm allergic to pollen. I need to step out for a moment."

With that, she hastily stood up and headed for the private restroom attached to the room.

She didn't see the storm that erupted in the man's eyes the moment she mentioned her pollen allergy.

Dominic snapped his head around to stare at her. His typically stoic face showed a crack of emotion.

Toby was equally astonished.

He knew exactly why his boss had lost his composure.

Because... Ms. West was also allergic to pollen.

Could there really be such a coincidence in this world?

Not only did they look identical, but they shared the exact same allergen.
