Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 25

Could it be... that Seraphina was already pregnant with Julian's child?

And she had been completely in the dark.

A memory suddenly flashed through her mind—back when she was desperately in love with him, she hadn't been opposed to the idea of having his child. But he was always so restrained. He never touched her, coaxing her by saying he wanted to save her first time for their wedding night.

She had been so touched that her face flushed red.

And just like that, in their three years together, aside from holding hands, they had never shared any lovers' intimacy.

Looking at it now...

She had been such an absolute fool!

Clara bit down on her lower lip, her entire body trembling ever so slightly.

At this moment, the wide hospital corridor felt like an execution ground meant just for her.

Seraphina spotted her first. A smile tugged at her lips as she clung tighter to Julian's arm and called out in mock surprise.

"Clara? What are you doing here? What happened to your ankle?"

Julian's tall frame stiffened slightly as he looked over at Clara.

Clara's gaze was ice-cold. Consumed by humiliation, she clenched her fists.

"None of your damn business," she spat out coldly.

Seraphina's smile faltered, and she turned to the man next to her, her red lips pouting.

"Julian, did you hear..."

But before she could finish, the man patted her shoulder gently and strode over to Clara.

His broad figure towered over her.

He looked her up and down, his eyes finally landing on her bandaged ankle. He frowned deeply.

"How did you get hurt? Are you alright?"

Clara looked up to meet his gaze and surprisingly caught a flicker of genuine worry in his dark eyes.

She told herself it had to be an illusion.

Why would he care about her?

He was only putting on an act for her.

"Did you come to the hospital alone? Why didn't you call me?" Julian asked.

Clara's eyelashes fluttered, the suffocating tightness in her chest worsening.

She suddenly wanted to scream at him:

Back in the hotel corridor, did you really not hear me crying for help?

But she swallowed the question down.

She refused to humiliate herself further.
