Even though her head had been down, she was watching where she was going.

But she didn't have the time or energy to argue right now, so she muttered a low apology...

However, when she looked up and saw the familiar face of the woman standing before her, her expression darkened instantly.

"We both know perfectly well who needs to watch where they're going," she said coldly.

But then, she looked Clara up and down. Seeing no marks on Clara's neck or lips, she let out a cold snort and crossed her arms.

"It's been three years, and you still can't see it—the person Julian loves is me."

"You're pathetic, following him around like a desperate lapdog."

"Little do you know, he's utterly disgusted by you."

The words hit like a physical blow. Clara nearly lost her composure, biting down so hard on the inside of her lip she almost drew blood.

Because everything Seraphina was saying was undeniably true!

Seeing her stricken expression, Seraphina smirked triumphantly. She leaned in closer and whispered maliciously.

"So, let me give you some advice. Face reality. Stop being so shameless, trailing after him and harassing him."

Now that they had fully fallen out, Seraphina wasn't even pretending anymore.

Clara clenched her fists tightly and suddenly let out a laugh.

"Seraphina Shaw, I haven't even spoken to your brother these past few days. What are you actually trying to say here?"

"Are you feeling insecure?"

"Terrified he might actually develop feelings for me and throw you aside?"

Hearing that, Seraphina completely lost her cool and shrieked.

"Clara!"

Clara scoffed coldly, not bothering to waste another second on her. But as her gaze swept past Seraphina's stomach, her eyes darkened imperceptibly...

In that split second of silence, Seraphina stepped into her personal space again and whispered something incredibly vicious into her ear.

"Clara, you didn't know, did you? This year on his birthday, Julian didn't actually go on a business trip because he didn't have time for you. No... he was worried I'd feel sad, so he secretly took me on vacation to Switzerland!"

The words exploded in her mind like thunder.

Clara's face instantly went paper-white.

Of course she remembered his birthday this year.

She had spent a fortune on a bespoke suit and a pair of cufflinks for him, and had even booked a private room at a six-star restaurant, waiting with full anticipation.
