Clara Vance paused, guessing that Julian Lowell had brought Seraphina Shaw to see her mentor, and her eyes dimmed.
It wasn't Leo Miller's first time meeting Julian, but it was his first time seeing Seraphina, and he couldn't help but curl his lip.
"I don't know what Julian sees in her. She looks worlds apart from you."
"And looking at how dejected she is, she probably hit a wall with the professor."
Clara raised an eyebrow.
Seraphina had indeed just hit a wall with Marcus Thorne and suffered a blow, so she wasn't in a good mood right now.
Hearing a noise, she looked over.
Seeing that Clara was actually with a man, she paused, then revealed a mocking smile.
Sure enough, she was an unpresentable person. If she couldn't keep her brother's heart, she went to climb another high branch.
Seraphina twitched her lips. But, the man next to her...
Julian's eyes darkened, but he didn't walk over.
Clara, of course, saw the contempt in Seraphina's eyes, but she couldn't be bothered with it. However, seeing the man's indifference, her heart still tightened.
She pursed her lips and softly said to Leo to let's go.
Leo patted her shoulder and gave a cold glance at the opposite side.
The two left.
Seraphina stared at Leo.
Suddenly remembering that he was Marcus Thorne's only student, she wanted to try and get to know him, maybe he could pull some strings for her...
It wouldn't be a bad thing anyway.
So, as the two walked over.
Ignoring Clara, she confidently extended her hand to Leo with a bright smile.
She said, "Mr. Miller, a pleasure to meet you. I didn't expect you to be having tea here today. What a coincidence. If we had known, my brother and I would have definitely treated you!"
My brother and I.
So intimate.
Clara could tell she was putting on airs.
Leo smiled faintly, did not shake her hand back, but lightly wrapped his arm around Clara's slender waist, saying, "You're too polite, but we probably won't be coming to this place again."
Clara paused slightly, suddenly feeling a gaze directed at her, carrying a purely masculine pressure...
She knew it was a warning from that man.
In the past, she would have shrunk back.
But this time, she chose to ignore it and didn't even look at him.
The smile on Seraphina's face instantly stiffened a lot.
She gave an awkward laugh, trying to smooth things over.
