Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 359

Back then, she had held him, warmed him, comforted him, called the police, and contacted his family.

That warmth was etched into his memory.

In that instant, he banished all other thoughts from his mind.

He convinced himself he was simply hearing things. The woman in the chair looked absolutely nothing like Clara, so how could it possibly be her?

Besides, barely anyone knew about his history with Clara. Even if his enemies wanted revenge, she would never be their target.

Right now, Clara was likely hiding from him somewhere in the city.

With that thought, Julian pushed down his anxiety, held Seraphina tighter, and comforted her, "Don't be afraid. I'm taking you away right now. I promise nothing like this will ever happen again."

Seraphina gave a soft, choked sob and nodded. Seeing that he wouldn't look back again, she finally relaxed, burying her face into his shoulder in a display of fragile vulnerability, while secretly curling her lips into a triumphant smile.

She had succeeded!

Her plan had worked perfectly!

She had won back Julian's heart!

From now on, he would protect and spoil her just like he used to.

And as for Clara... she could rot here.

Julian carried Seraphina out the main doors, placed her in his car, and sped away into the distance.

Inside the factory, Clara watched the scene unfold, the last shred of hope in her heart shattering completely.

She slumped weakly against the chair, her face turning an ashen white of total devastation...

The man in sunglasses watched the car disappear into the distance. Letting out a long breath, he turned to her with a sinister smirk, walked up, ripped off the black hood, and yanked the gag from her mouth.

Clara coughed violently in agony. Tilting her fragile neck back, she glared at him with bloodshot eyes. Her voice was gratingly hoarse, barely a whisper. "Who are you? I've never done anything to you. Why are you doing this to me?"

As she spoke, a single tear slid down her cheek.

The man remained entirely emotionless, practically carved from ice. "Because you made Sera miserable."

Clara found the accusation utterly absurd. Seraphina had always been the one tormenting her. "I never bullied her!"

"You always have an excuse! You've tortured her enough!"

"That's only because she came after me first..."

"Enough, shut up! Save your excuses for the devil!"

The man cut her off impatiently. Pulling a lighter from his pocket, he sparked the flame under her terrified gaze and tossed it straight into the oil barrel next to her.

Instantly, the flames exploded, surging aggressively toward her, the heat practically licking her clothes.

"Ah!"

Clara screamed in terror, her body trembling uncontrollably as sheer panic consumed her. She begged him, "Please, let me go, please..."
