Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 71

Seraphina watched blankly for a long moment. Suddenly, like a madwoman, she ran to the balcony and looked down.

A luxurious Bentley was parked below the company building. Julian Lowell, dressed in a custom-made dark suit, looked strikingly handsome as he leaned against the sleek car, smoking a cigarette. He was charming and impossibly attractive.

Clara Vance slowly approached him. Seeing her, Julian crushed out his cigarette and personally opened the car door for her. Their eyes met—softness clashing with hardness. It was unclear what they said, but they stood intimately close... Then, Clara got into the passenger seat, and the man, after closing her door, took the driver's seat.

The car slowly drove away.

Watching this, Seraphina’s lips pressed into a tight, thin line. Envy, jealousy, hatred!

Everything was clear now. When Julian asked her what she wanted for lunch earlier, he never intended to accompany her. He was merely brushing her off!

It seemed The Azure Silk Sachet hadn't made Julian completely give up on Clara...

It had only bought back his gentle attitude toward Seraphina—and nothing more!!

She had underestimated Clara's place in Julian's heart.

Seraphina bit her lip so hard it turned a miserable shade of white.

Just then, her phone rang.

Seraphina wiped her eyes before pulling it out. Seeing the caller ID, fresh tears welled up. She answered, covering her mouth as she sobbed, "Mom... you have to help me..."

"..."

...

In the car, Clara sat quietly in the passenger seat.

"I'm sorry, it was my oversight. Something like this won't happen again. I've already contacted a doctor to perform your sister's surgery."

Clara's eyes trembled slightly. To be honest, this kind of good treatment was what she had once dreamed of. But now, she truly didn't need it anymore. Belated care was cheaper than dirt.

Clara smiled faintly, suppressing the slight discomfort in her chest, and pushed his large hand away. "There's no need. I've already found a doctor..."

Julian paused.

"Besides..." Clara met his gaze, took a deep breath, and continued, "Didn't you see the things I left on your desk? I assumed you came looking for me to talk about that."

Julian frowned in confusion. "What things did you leave? Documents? Those aren't urgent." Saying that, he somewhat domineeringly grasped her small hand resting on her lap, his tone lowering even further, carrying a hint of coaxing. "I came to find you today because I wanted to apologize, and then take you to the hospital to see your sister."

Clara frowned, realizing he hadn't yet seen the departure dossier with her resignation letter.
