The words, "Tristan Forrester's legal wife, Nova Clarke, voluntarily leaves the marriage with zero assets," were printed crystal clear at the very bottom of the page.
Right next to that devastating line was Nova's signature.
Her black ink strokes were sharp, decisive, and elegant—the penmanship pressing so deeply it practically carved through the paper.
There was a time when Tristan had genuinely admired Nova's handwriting, acknowledging that it rivaled, if not surpassed, his own.
But just as his fingers closed around the pen, ready to sign his name and end it all, his phone lit up. It was Yvette.
Her voice was laced with sheer panic. "Tristan, you need to get to the hospital right now! Belinda is fading fast!"
Tristan snapped the divorce agreement shut and tossed it carelessly onto the empty seat. He turned to Justin. "Get me to Forrester Hospital."
The force of the car swerving sent the loose pages of the divorce agreement fluttering onto the floorboards.

At the hospital, Yvette was playing the perfect, graceful future daughter-in-law, gently comforting Felipa and Abdul in the waiting area.
When the lead physician approached, she took charge, asking all the right, highly informed medical questions.
The doctor, well aware of her status, offered a tactical compliment. "Mrs. Forrester, you are truly blessed to have such a remarkable future daughter-in-law. Ms. Sellers is highly knowledgeable and incredibly attentive to the old lady's needs. With her managing the situation, you two should really go get some rest. She can easily hold the fort down here!"
Abdul was drowning in grief. He didn't care about the flattery; his eyes were glued to the glowing lights of the resuscitation room.
When Yvette stepped forward, gently urging him to rest, he ignored her completely and asked, "When is Tristan getting here?"
"He's already on his way. Please, don't worry. Leave everything to me. If you ruin your health from exhaustion, you'll just end up collapsing right when Belinda recovers."
Felipa quickly chimed in to support her.
"She's right, Dad. Go lie down. We'll wake you the second Tristan arrives or when Mom finally opens her eyes."
After a relentless barrage of coaxing, the old man finally relented and allowed them to escort him to an adjacent VIP suite to lie down.
